I think that what I love with Syandana is his abnegation and trust in the Holy Lord. It has beauty in its dedication and sacrifice. I think he placed his pride in service, and exile took his pride away so far... but as he takes up the service through prayer, however exiled, his pride might get restored. He knows he will not receive for what he gives, but there is strength to take in making the choice to give freely.
