Honestly, Cartoon Network should experiment more with mini-series. I mean, the reason I absolutely adore CN is that they are totally willing to do crazy stuff that doesn't exactly bode well with the norm. Sure it leads to premature cancellations, but other times we're given amazing shows in return.
However, not all tales can be woven like quilts. Some are strung together like scarfs, and only have a practically once every so often. This is why I believe it is important that short stories, short films, mini-series etc etc are exploited and garner the attention they absolutely need.
Heck not everyone has the time to read the Lord of the Rings. Some of us just want to read a good bedtime story.
