You know when people say that their life sucks or that they hate their life when something that they think is horrible happens to them, like when your phone dies and you can't find the charger.
Well, I don't think my life my sucks, I know it does.
So here I was face to faces with four people, who I deem not so mentally stable.
Man, that switchblade would come in so handy right now, but wait, I don't have it any more. Thanks, mom.
Wolf, was the first one to move. He pulled out one of the chairs and place it in front of me.
"Have a seat, Winter." He said to me.
Winter?
I didn't move I just stared. My heart was beating so fast and I felt like I couldn't breathe. My hands had gotten clammy, and I didn't dare to speak.
"Marcela, close the curtains." He finally speaks.
"What's wrong with your hands?" She questions with an attitude.
He turns his head around. "Just do what I say."
"I know you like to think your the boss of me, but your not."
"All I asked was for you to close the curtains, it's a pretty easy thing to do."
"If it's so easy why don't you do it."
They're arguing, right now. Are they serious? Maybe they want to give me a show before the beating.
I get to see some exclusive behind the scenes problems involving Wolf and Marcela.
I wonder if this is how they usually act when they're alone. They look so well put together at a school.
This is probably the part where I try to escape, but there was no were to run.
I ran through ways I could escape in my mind, unfortunately I was met with blank space.
"Whatever, I'll do it." Wolf screams.
To much thinking, I missed my chance.
"Take a seat and make yourself at home, Winny." Marcela smiled sweetly at me.
Make myself at home? This is my house, and Winny? I'd rather be called Winter.
"Are you deaf, I said take a sit before I leave a dent in your face." She shrieked in my face.
I sat down as soon as she said that. I don't want a dent in my face.
"Marcela, why don't you take a seat and leave the talking to me." Wolf said after he came back from closing the curtains.
"Guys, stop." Arlo cut in. "Marcela, Wolf is this really anyway to act in front of our guest?
Once again, this is my house.
Marcela and Wolf both looked at each other.
"Enough of this, let's get down to business." Arlo continued.
Arlo then pulled out another chair for him to sit. I then realized that he had his leg tied up.
He saw me staring and gave me a look.
"Yeah, I hope your happy.
Because it's my fault you slipped on ice.
"Wolf, the floor is yours." Arlo said taking a sit.
Wolf reached his hand out to me, signaling me to take it.
I hesitated but then gently placed my hand in his palm, once he raised his eyebrow. I didn't want him to get irritated.
He pulled me up until I was on my feet. Then grabbed the chair with my hand still in his, bringing me and the chair to the table.
"Let's sit at the table and have a chat." He grinned at me showing all his beautiful white teeth.
I feel like I'm going to throw up.
I sat down, once again and so did the rest of them.
Once everyone was seated they all looked at Dark.
Dark, was the most quiet out of all of them. I've never heard him speak a word. He was patient and didn't let anger take control of him.
I studied his face. He had black hair, that wasn't jet black, but had dark brownish color mixed in with it. His eyes the color of the ocean, had a tsunami going on in them. He had a clean shaven face, and the only piercing he had was on his lip. He also had no tattoos. From where I could see. Which I found quite interesting.
The rest of them had tattoos. He was the only one without. Not that it's weird he doesn't have any, it's just I thought that he would have some.
I didn't want to be stereotypical, but even so he really doesn't need a tattoo to be 'bad.'
After a long moment Dark finally spoke, and for the very first time I heard his voice.
"Do you have coffee." He said seriously. His voice is so beautiful, and angelic I almost didn't even hear.
Wait, coffee?
He didn't say anything, just stared waiting for me to answer.
"I, um yes." I muttered.
"Marc, go make me coffee." He says. His voice is so deep but silky. It makes me feel very sleepy.
Marcela cocked her head to the side and said, "Does this look like a café, do I look like a waitress."
Marcela had a lot to say today, and it amazed me that one look from Dark could shut her up, and have her scurrying to the kitchen like a mouse.
It shocked me that Wolf and Arlo didn't say anything after Dark said he wanted coffee. They just waited patiently until Marcela came back with the coffee.
She set it in front of him, and sat back in her seat.
Dark picked up the mug, and blew over it.
"Oh for goodness sakes, are you a spy?" Marcela suddenly bursts out asking.
Dark raised his hands up which silenced Marcela.
"Marcela." That's all he said.
"Sorry, Dark, I just want to know, who's she's working for."
Dark turned and looked me straight in the eye.
"Last night, what were your intentions, bad or just bad timing." He trailed off. He eyes looked hooded as he played with his spoon.
"I wasn't following you guys, please, I really wasn't." His eyes brought chills though me, it made my stomach feel uneasy.
"Yeah." He said almost as if it was a question. His voice was like butter.
What is wrong with me. I don't like this, I don't like how I feel in this situation.
I need to get out of here, but how? All I have is an apple in my bag. Maybe I could throw it at one of them?
"Why we're you spying on us last night." Wolf inquired.
"Are you a spy, who sent you?" Arlo questioned.
"I'm not a spy, I-I swear, please. I didn't know you guys where they until I heard you speaking. I slipped on ice and fell over the bins. I hid because I was scared." I stuttered.
"I don't believe her for a second." Marcela said. "I was so scared, I slipped on ice." She said imitating me in a nagging voice.
Dark suddenly stood up.
"Stand up." He said to me.
I did what he said, and stood up.
He came around to my side of the table and stood in front of me.
He stared down at me. He's eyes were so menacing but yet so calming.
He put his hands on my shoulder and slowly slipped of my backpack of my shoulders.
He leaned in close and puts his hands on his knees to bend down to my level.
"Are you lying." He whispers in my hear.
I shake my head in fear.
He nodded and then squinted at me, then says, "You remind me of someone."
He then walked away.
"You believe her?" Marcela asked.
Why does she keep opening her mouth. I really wish she would be quiet.
"Marcela shut up." Wolf said.
"You know what," Marcela said standing up, I am so done with you."
Wolf stood up and started to laugh. "You say that everyday, sweetheart."
"I'm serous this time, you think you run sh*t but you don't." Marcela said, her face began to get red.
She walked toward him and pushed his chest.
Wolf grabbed her wrist. That comment Marcela made didn't make him so happy.
"If I were you I would pick my choice of very words carefully, Marcy." His eyes turned to ice.
"Wolf leave her alone." Arlo limping between the two if them.
"No, I've had enough of this brat."
Were they really arguing again?
I need to get rid of them. I have never felt all these emotions at once before. I was tired, scared, and hungry. I felt like I was going to faint.
The apple. I have an apple in my bag. I opened my bag up and pulled out the fruit.
I looked back to the fiasco going on behind me just in time to see Marcela's fist connect with Wolf's face.
I heard a horrible, noise come from the connection of the skin and knuckles.
Dreadful silence. I think those are the perfect words to describe the moments that followed afterwards.
I don't think this is Wolf and Marcela's first fallout but I'm pretty sure this is the first time she punched him.
Wolf reached up to touch his cheek, but still didn't do anything.
Unfortunately Marcela wasn't done, she went to kick him in the stomach but he caught her foot.
He then pushed her backwards, not to hard, but it send her flying back.
Marcela fell to the floor hitting her hand on the coffee table in the process.
She shrieked in pain. "You little-"
"You got what you deserved, you need to learn when your opinion is needed and when it's not." Wolf thundered.
She stood up and jetted toward Wolf. Pushing him and Arlo toward me.
We all came crashing down. Marcela started punching, yes punching, Wolf in the stomach.
Wolf tried to stand up, but Arlo was laying on top of his legs.
Arlo looked to be in great pain, his face curled up and his hands reached out toward his legs.
"Are you okay." I asked him.
He looked toward me and just breathed heavily.
Oh gosh.
This needs to stop. I need to a stop this. I pushed Marcela off Wolf and stood up.
Marcela grabbed my arm as soon as I got up.
She went to punch me in the face, but I blocked it with my right hand, and punched her in the face with my left. Which caused her to fall. Again.
Another dreadful silence followed.
I looked down at my knuckles which were burning from the impact.
I can't believe I just did that. I didn't even mean to do it. It was like a reflex.
I immediately covered my mouth with both my hands.
"Oh my gosh." I said, Marcela was out cold on the ground.
I heard clapping behind me. I turned around to see Wolf clapping on the ground.
"She was out of control and on a rampage." He said. His cheek was beginning to swell.
"Guys, I think I need to go to the hospital." Arlo's voice caused us all to turn to him.
Dark went beside Arlo.
Where was he the whole time?
"Wolf, help." He said in his husky voice.
Wolf went over and helped Dark lift up Arlo.
"Can you stand." Wolf asked.
"No, it hurts."
"I'm sorry, I'm apologize on behalf of Marcela."
That made Arlo laugh. "Thanks."
The walked toward the door, but Dark stopped and looked toward me.
"Come."
"Oh, what wait, me?"
He just stared.
"No it ok, and what about Marcela?" I asked him.
"Leave her."
"We can't leave h-" I trailed of I not wanting to tell him what to do.
"Sure we can." He smiled showing his gorgeous dimples. My heart jolted when he smiled. He was always serious, so this was very different.
Even Wolf seemed surprised.
"Come." He repeated.
I began to walk forward, but then realized I was going with the crazy people. This is my chance to escape. Well my chance to get rid of them.
"No, it's ok, I'll um.. stay here." I don't know why I stuttered around him. Fear and intimidation?
Truth be told I was extremely scared of Dark. Him being nice and smily just made things worse.
"You're coming." Dark's smile dropped. "Listen to me and no bad will come, understand." His ocean eyes held a hurricane.
I nodded. "Ok, I'm coming." I said.
"I know your coming, it's not like you had a choice."
No, I guess I didn't.
