Hello I'm Lyra Ella Bellum I am sixteen and the heir to a huge kingdom that I realld DON'T want. I know that might sound odd but hear me out. I have to rule millions of people and tell them what to do but I don't want any of that I like being just Lyra not Princess Lyra or your Majesty. It's actually quite annoying to be called that. I know you might be think I am an ungrateful brat but I am not I just really hate the growing up to be a queen thing.  Now lets start my story so you can get a better look on on why I don't want to be queen and how a secret door changed everything.

I woke up to find my maid Stacy preparing my outfit for the day. I sighed today was the day prince ben comes to vist. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom knowing that my towel was ready and my bathtub was already filled with water. I slipped out of my lavender nightgown and stepped into the bathtub. I relaxed and closed my eyes in pure bliss. This was the only time of the day that I could just relax and not have to worry about table manners, proper posture and someday ruling a kingdom of people I don't really know. I have never been outside the castle walls without 5 guards following me to make sure I am safe. I don't make a lot of freinds or talk to anyone when I am outside the castle walls because of the guards always surrounding me.  

I got out of the tub 15 minutes later and dryed off I wrapped the towel around my torso and walled into my room to find all my clothes spread out on the bed I slipped on my underwear and then my dress . The dress was a light purple dress that came down to my ankles fortunately for me it wasn't a cinderella style dress and more of a simple dress. I put on my light purple slippers that matched my dress perfectly. I add my necklace it was made out of pure silver and had a heart shape. I went downstairs just in time to see Prince Ben carriage arrive. Me and my mom and dad Queen Bella and King James went out to meet Prince Ben. I hated Prince Ben his arrogance was extremely irritating. On his last vist he bragged non-stop about killing a wild boar all by himself. 

We lead him into the castle and showed him to his room. Mom and Dad escorted him to the dinning room for breakfast. My stomach growled I couldn't wait to try Lilliam's famous blueberry pancakes. I ran down to the dinning room not really caring about being lady like. When I got to the dinning room everything was set. Lilliam looked up at me and smiled "Hello Lyra Lilliam said. Lilliam was the only one who just called me Lyra and not Princess Lyra or your Majesty. I sat down in my usual spot and waited for mom and dad to reach the dinning room. They walked in laughing and talking with Prince Ben. I rolled my eyes they really should learn how much of a show off Prince Ben is. Lilliam started setting the plates while her sister Nara who had just walked in place the pancakes on each plate. I immediately started eating. When I looked up I noticed Prince Ben was staring at me. I rolled my eyes once more it was as if he had never seen a girl eat before but then again most princess only eat one apple and a banana for breakfast because they need to make their waist look smaller. I finished my pancakes and left I didn't like being in the same room as Prince Ben and that would never change. I went up stairs and got a book from the library about dragon myths. I sat on my bedroom floor and leaned on the wall I suddenly fell backwards. I wasn't in my bedroom anymore and I knew it . I was in a room in the middle of the room was a book and 2 mirrors were on each sides of the room. I looked into the mirror and saw that I was no longer wearing my plain purple dress but a black dress with a necklace that wrapped around my neck with a little crystal on it. I gasped how did I suddenly change clothing ? I walked up to the book on the cover it was a a cresent moon the title said The Book Of Magic I stared at the words rereading them over and over to make sure I had read it right. I open the book and a blinding light white light came out of the book and I fell back and I slipped out in darkness.
