The first week passed by. Everyone figured out how thinks work at the new school and the new system. So, another boring school week started for Even.

It was early in the morning when Evens Mom screamed like usually “Even Santiago Garcia get the fuck down you need to go to school.”

“Yeah Mom good morning. I love you too!”, he replied with full sarcasm while getting dressed. After putting on his usual hoodie with ripped jeans, he looked at the big clock hanging on his wall above the door. “It isn’t that late mom why did you already wake me up?” Walking down the escalator that lead right into the living room he saw that there wasn’t only his mother but his new best friend Gabriel was sitting next to her with a cup of hot coffee in his hands. “What are you doing here?”, Even asked a bit confused. Gabriel turned around and smiled like always, he sipped a bit of his coffee and answered” waiting for you to get to school together, idiot.” Even just stuck out his tongue while Gabriel grinned widely. As Even walked away to go into the kitchen Gabriel turned back to talk to the friendly mother. “ Ahh.. you Hispanic?”

“Yes, I am from Mexico and Even lived there till he was three years old but my husband is German.”, she said kindly. Gabriel felt really comfortable in Evens house, he was there once but just for about an hour. He found it funny that everywhere he looked he saw a sister of Even and they were all so similar. It was kind of cute, thought Gabriel as he saw Even and his identically looking sister fight over a pair of shoes.

“Esther and Even it’s enough. Don’t embarrass us in front of our guest!”, another stranger showed up. She was an exactly copie of Evens mother, of course she was younger, she was the oldest daughter. With a cup of coffee in her hand she stood there glaring at here little siblings. “Sorry Esther but she won’t give me MY shoes”, Even complained angry. “THAT ARE MY SHOES! Since when do you even care on how you look? Is it because of the princess thing??”

Gabriel just sat there looking at the scene princess thing? What does she mean? Even blushed a little bit and threw the shoes to the ground. “Fine, I don’t need ‘em. Gabe let’s go.”, it was more like an order than a request, so Gabriel stood up and thanked the mom for being so kind.

After leaving, the school boys talked about the last episode of Yuri on Fire till Gabriels curiosity wins and he asks.” What was that with the princess thing one of your sisters mentioned?” In one blink Evens face turned brightly red and he was clearly struggling on how to respond to this. “EH,.. it is a secret. I won’t tell you”

“Really?”, you could literally see his curiosity,” You can tell me, aren’t we buddies? I will tell you a secret too, ‘kay?”

“Why are you so curious? Isn’t that usually my thing. You know being curios and so.”, the green-eyed boy chuckled lightly while saying that. It was as if they switched up roles.

“Well yeah, ... but just tell me. WAIT, don’t go changing the subject.”, this time both laughed loudly. Even didn’t even intent to change the topic.

“Okay, okay I will tell you later but, promise me to tell me one of your dark secrets too” Even winked to make it more joke alike and Gabe responded with a warm smile.
