~ Year 3461 ~

Seraphine : "Wolf wake up, you're going to be late for your trial !"

Wolf : "Just one more minute Ser..."

Seraphine : "Are you kidding me ?!" "The trial starts in 30 minutes!"

Wolf : "Wait 30 minutes ?!" "Why didn't you wake me earlier ?!"

Seraphine : "I tried !"

Guard : "Lord Wolf, your father is expecting you at the temple."

Wolf : "Thanks! "

Seraphine : "I swear my brother is always like this."

Guard : "Do not worry my lady, lord Wolf is sure to pass the trial."

Seraphine : "I hope he is."

Wolf had run from the palace to the temple, along the way he had seen a crack in the floor. This is very uncommon seeing that the whole city of Atlantica is protected by the barrier wich keeps it from being crushed under the water.

Wolf kept on running through the streets and when he had arrived his father was furious, however the king had decided to let Wolf start his trial immediately after his arrival along with 19 other brave contestants.

The trial has started and wolf eagerly rushes into things, but the first task was no easy one.

They had to climb down the abyss trench, it was dark en very deep almost as if a Haunted could fly out of it at any time. For those who did not realize just how treacherous this trench was had jumped down and slipped of the sides falling to their demise. Already the number of contestants have dwindled down to 13 and the trial had only started!

Wolf carefully searched the trench walls looking for a safe way down.

Contestant 5 : "Hey look! The little brat prince is scared to come down!"

Wolf who was annoyed by his comment jumped down revealing his "ARC".

Contestant 5 was shocked by his powerful ARC and shut his mouth, after this Wolf went further down and found the start of the second trial.

The second trial was to go outside the barrier and return with a Haunted's core. These cores remain from the carcasses which remain from the countless attacks.

Wolf quickly put on his pressure suit and went outside the barrier.

He quickly felt how hard it was to breathe even with his suit on.

Not surprising considering the depth they are at.

He continued on further into the abyss.

He had to hurry, the abyss is a dangerous area. If a Haunted sees him he's done for.

Between all of the magnificent rock formations formed by battles and erosion he sees ton's of carcasses, but not many of them still have a core in them.

He went down one of the slopes to retrieve a core, he couldn't have imagined how disgusting it was to cut a core from rotting Haunted flesh.

He could smell it through the pressure suit, it smelled like rotting eggs that'd been around for centuries.

Wolf almost had to puke at the smell combined with what he saw, seeing that he couldn't hold out much longer he rushed to get out of there.

After he had retrieved his core and had returned to the barrier gate, he waited to see how many contestants were left after the retrieval of the core's.

He only counted 9, the others must have been attacked by Haunted's whilst outside of the barrier.

It appeared contestant 5 had been attacked. Not surprising if he had gone further that the great gate, the Haunted are extremely aggressive in that area.

The third trial was also the last trial, it was combat. They had to use Knights (Multipurpose Arial units capable of underwater, air and on land combat), each contestant received the same unit.

A glaive, a soldier class unit. It has neutral specifications but was standardized because it was easy to operate. All 10 remaining contestants left for the ocean battlegrounds, where they were supposed to meet a Class B Haunted. Instead an S Class Haunted showed up, a Reaver.

Bravely all contestants including Wolf engaged the Reaver in combat.

Contestant 2 : "It's armor is too thick I can't get through!"

Wolf : "Focus on its eyes, it can't fight if it's blinded!"

Contestant 11: "Yes, my lord !"

Contestant 4 : "Aaaarggghhh!!!"

One after the other the contestants fell to the beast. Only 3 survived, Wolf, Contestant 11 and Contestant 2.

Contestant 2 : "I thought this was supposed to be a Class B zone!"

Contestant 11 : "It is, but in some cases an A or S Class passes through the area. We were just unlucky."

Wolf : "I would say you are one of the lucky few, the others died in this battle."

They returned to Atlantica receiving their mark of Grace.

Wolf became general of the Dragon Special Unit, not only that but he had requested that Contestant 2 and 11 joined the Dragon unit.

Wolf : "So, I still don't know your names."

Contestant 11 : "My name is Stefan, my lord."

Contestant 2 : "My name is Fabian, my lord."

Wolf : "Very well. Stefan, Fabian it is a pleasure to stand alongside you."

Fabian + Stefan : "The honor is ours my lord!"
