Do you know what the "Marvel Method is? If you do, award yourself a shiny No-Prize but if you don't ... read on true believers!!!
Now the groovy Marvel Method was a crazy new way to do comics that Marvel comics thrived on in the 1960's.
Artists like Kirby or Ditko got a story synopsis from writer Stan Lee instead of a full script (like they used in traditional comic creation). Sometimes they even helped Stan create the basic plot.
The artists took this simplified plot and filled it in. Expanding the story in unexpected visual ways. This eased Stan's workload and took advantage of the storytelling strengths of the future legends in the Marvel Bullpen.
Once done, the art returned to Stan the Man for the creation of dialogue, sometimes with suggestions from the artist.
And that's the Marvel Method.
