Two days have passed, most likely the most boring and most scared days of my life. Or should I say it should have been for everyone from the village. The medical person came and gave Aunt Calla a new slime, it was red with little white beads, he said it would help her lungs breathe better and make the system in her body better. Either way she hasn’t made a better recovery, but she has gotten better with her sense of humor.
We ate nothing but bread, cheese, and some chunky white substance that tasted foul. After a long night staring out the window we never saw another bird until I saw something that looked like one, but it turned out to be giant airships that appear it be really far away, I thought I also saw some creatures in the water, but it didn’t look like anything, then all of a sudden the city shook rapidly as we all braced ourselves as if the city were actually going to explode. I know for myself the city wasn’t going to explode, well 65 percent sure. But I knew it wasn’t cause I looked outside to see the sea rising very close to the city, as we get closer and closer the propellers on the metal platform begin to stop, the city went silent, like a old woman knitting in a soft house not wanting to be disturbed, but then comes the knock on the door. By knock I mean the city dropping into the sea, as it bobs up and down. We all fell to the floor except the soldiers who try very hard to stay up.
The city swooshes against the sea as water reaches up the wall and splashes at the window, it all looks so smoothly from above but the water looks really violent up close. As I see the islands that looked like creatures from above, I see that they aren’t abandoned like they are, I see birds and small animals on the small island, with waves splashing on the small beach.
Then a villager starts to bang his head against the wall over and over until a blotch of blood overcame his forehead, people grabbed him and settled him down on the ground until he calmed down. He then looks down as tears began to pour down his face, mixing in with the blood on the ground.
“Why do we have to put up with this!!” Says the man as he holds his hands over his face.
“Hover just calm down!”
“To hell with you, to hell with you all. Damn this place, damn this world. I just can’t take it anym-“ A gunshot interrupts his sentence as everyone even Hover turns as blood gets in his eye. Everyone stares at the person who shot the gun; it was that woman again who was giving us orders from Lord Et’dra. She then continues to stare at Hover who looks like a mess, blood, tears, and fear. She puts her gun to her side and then starts to walk over to him, she then signals her hand at the villagers surrounding Hover to step aside, before Hover could rub the blood from his eyes, he turned his head up to see Hinds holding a hand gun pointed right at his blood soaked forehead.
“State your purpose for what your doing.”
“What im doing? You keep us as prisoners for many years, hell my whole damn life, making us do your chores by making cloths and weapons for you, having our village being destroyed by the world itself, and now were being taken to some city where it all will begin once more, us working for you!”
“We seek to what the solutions are to problems, and we try to fix it, we were a problem to begin with, with you working for us, you are the solution, you can help bring justice.”
“What in the hell kind of words are you speaking woman?”
“At this moment, we are under attack, and with you on our side, we could someday work together, not just as slaves, but servants to the great lord Et’dra.”
“You think we would do such a thing?” as hover grabs the gun Hinds is holding and puts his finger on the trigger. “I bet theres more freedom down in hell!” The gun goes off, and a body falls.
A couple of hours go by as an alarm goes off outside, as we wake up three airships drop down on the metal platforms in-between the propellers. The door on them opens up as some people with ropes around them, they grab tools and straps and unhook the propellers from the platform as the men carry them to the side of the airships as they strap them on with ease. Then the men go back inside but they don’t shut the door. Below the door a long reticular hole opens up as a metal platform comes from below and follows until it meets the other airship, then the airship next to that does the same thing until the last airship had its platform connect itself to the side of the city. Then the men got below the airships platform and putted up support bars and a railing to show that it was a walkway, a catwalk leading to each airship.
Then the doors to the room open up as some men walk in. One of the men appears to be General Nethal Tajjit. He walks in but this time, he had a very serious look on his face.
“Alright people, we arrived at our coordinates ahead of schedule, it is time to pursue out towards Gavin,”
“What are you talking about?” A villager spoke out.
“We arrived at Gavin, the richest land ever built by man, and its most precious royal city North Hollow.” We all looked surprised and intrigued, but yet still stricken with fear over what happened to Hover.
“Now if you follow me, we can get our orders over with.” As Tajjit starts to walk out the door, some soldiers went around behind us as they raise their guns to their chest as they told us to move, as we did without hesitation. We followed down the stairs again to the houses once again, but this time it wasn’t a ghost town, there were people everywhere. Strange looking people with strange looking clothes, strange hairdos, strange faces, just strange!
They stared at us in confusion and surprised. I forgot that these people had no idea there was a village outside their strange city. Then a soldier who had a thing that looked like a horn, stepped on a bench outside of a fountain, spoke into the horn which made his voice speak absolutely loud. He was speaking to the city folk that there is nothing to see, nothing at all. Yep, that’s how people see us, nothing, just a bunch of villagers who let a group of people take over them for a 100 years.
I saw shops that were bizarre to me, with signs like:
Olde Shoppe of Potions and Pub.
The Great J. Jenkins and her spectacular Tricks!
Fillards Magic Wardrobe.
