I walk around some building, but I'm sure I won't be seen. All of a sudden, my nose picks up a strange smell. It's not a bad smell, it's just familiar.... That bothers me, because no one is supposed to be here. Where do I know the smell from?
I turn around but there's no one behind me. I start to walk away from the building. I'm starting to hear faint footsteps. I start to walk a little faster, not turning around. It's probably someone just walking the same way, I think to myself.
I'm starting to walk even more faster and turning more corners. The footsteps are just following me everywhere. I finally turned a steep corner and grab that person. "Who are you??" I ask, and look at their face. They're wearing a mask.
The same mask I saw the night this all started. The guy who saved me. I quickly let go of him, but still don't put down my caution. He's not slow to answer. He cracks his neck and back and says "I guess you remembered me?" I can almost feel him smirking. "Why did you follow me? How did you even find me?" I said to him, patiently waiting for an answer.
"First of all, I didn't try to find you. I just always hanging around here, and I saw you. I followed you, because I was wondering what were you up to." I'm not satisfied with his answer. I still don't know who he is, and why did he help me. Heck, I don't know anything about him or his intentions.
"So Paige... What are you doing here? Especially this time is quite early for a regular sneak out." He asks, and I feel my eyes form 2 apple-sized circles. "How do I how do you know my name?? I don't even know yours! And why are you asking me sp many questions? Do you live around here or something? Are there a lot of people sneaking out, that you know the regular time?"
He cracks his neck one more time, and putting his hands behind his back, he starts walking around me. Why can't he just stay still? "Well, I do live around here. I know your name, because it's quite easy to match PG with. I heard your voice before, and I'm pretty good with hacking stuff. Don't ask. You wouldn't want to know. You don't know my name, because it's not necessary."
He's good at hacking?? What did I get myself into? I'm standing there surprised, not knowing what to do.
Wait... I heard that phrase before. Not knowing someone's name because it's unnecessary? He said it before and the guy from my class said it. This can't be him right...? Not at all. That guy from my class, didn't say anything more to me, then a few words. This one is asking questions and answering all of mine. There's no way these two are the same people.
"You're terrible. I was hoping I wouldn't have to see you again." Lies. Why am I saying this? "And why didn't you just call out to me? You were just following me for a while." He stopped walking, and stared at me, frozen over. He was right in front of the wall, so he leaned on it.
To be honest, he looked pretty attractive. "What do you mean I followed you for a while? I saw you, started following you, turned one corner, and you attacked me." Hearing him say this, I snapped my head towards his covered face, and say "What?? I heard footsteps since behind the Pharmacy Building!"
Then it hit me. "The smell." He tilted his head, and I turned around and walked over to where I came from. Looking around the corner, I didn't see anyone but could feel that same smell very faintly.
Quietly walking back over to the mysterious boy, I got just close enough to be able to smell his scent. "Um. What are you doing?" I heard him say, but didn't answer yet. His smell is different.
"Someone is following me. They are close by somewhere." I whispered to him, and his brows furrowed. He grabbed my hand and pulled on it, walking away. For some reason his steps were so quiet I could barely hear them. "Where are you taking me?" I ask, but all he does is shushes me.
We walk for about 5 minutes, and turn a corner. Once we turn, he releases my hand, and pushes me into what looked like a small building. It's pitch black, and I wanted to scream, but suddenly feel someone's hand around my already-covered mouth.
