-Here, I can show one of you, but the problem is it will probably bother a bit if we are all crowded there. We could just go with one for the moment.
Clover whispers something to Blaze and the smiled at Lavender.
-We have been there before, you should be the one fielded first.
Clover finally spits out while Blaze nodded behind her.
Lavender walked forward, still looking at her friends.
Pond looked and the couple with suspicious eyes
-Take care of her hair pin.
-Here, - Pond held her arm- Now you should try to feel your Soul Shelter, try to feel it like a door. Now take a deep breath and go. Go in there like it is your own home. It takes a long time to perfection this action and perform it in an instant or even at the speed of light, just like I did in these long years I lived. Or... have been dead... you get the point.
Slowly, stellar dust started appearing around the girls. After a moment, which seemed like an eternity the Souls, magnificent purple lights surrounded them like a cloud, transforming them into that same thing, but it was barely noticeable as they appeared inside the Shelter fractions of seconds after.
-Are you dead? - Pond slowly poked Lavender´s head - Oh right, you can't. But I wouldn't like you to faint right now.
Lavender shook her head and laid up - Did I faint?
-I told you it was hard the first times- She closed her fist and exhaled before opening her hand again.
When Lavender looked arround, she couldnt belive her eyes.
It was a huge flower field with fog filled edges. The flowers were a mix of lavenders and bellflowers. In the middle of the field, a little tree trunk stood up, holding a large book on top while a soft waterfall of dew provided humidity to the flora. Lavender, still in her shock of knowing what apparently her Soul and mind looked like, walked with long and weak steps towards the book.
-That is probably your whole life. Expect it to be a bit empty in the end, it will go longer and tell what happened when it happens, which is until you get destroyed from the inside. - She stepped slowly on a flower and looked at Lavender, searching for a reaction- Does it hurt?
Lavender nodded- I can't imagine what would be if you wrecked this place down. - Then it hit her. What if Pond wasn't to trust? Clover didn't. She looked like an innocent girl, but her brother had done so many things, or so did she say. That girl could just go around, stepping and cutting all the flowers, tearing apart the petals and her other friends wouldn't know. And what could she do about it other than complain for the pain?
No. Pond has been that, just a girl trying to stop the evil her brother is doing and teaching them how to work in the meantime.
With an exhalation, she opened the book. A picture of her parents was on the front page, her mother probably pregnant already. She wore her beautiful black curly hair while her father used his short light brown cup haircut. Lavender knew this picture, it was on a shelf in her father's house. But this one was black and white. The pond looked over Lavender´s shoulder and exclaimed at every picture- We didn't have those when I died- or - Your book lacks words- Something that could be easily answered by knowing what a picture is worth.
Skipping pages and barely looking at the pictures, she catches the main ideas. When she learnt to speak and walk, ride a bike, her first day at kindergarten, primary, middle...
Then she reached it, that stage of her life which changed everything. A picture of her smiling by her friend's side started the chapter.
I burned that picture down
It was also black and white, but something was different. Lavender slowly took colour. Her skin turned that pink colour she has instead of the white her friend wore in the picture. Her eyes light blue with a pinkish spirit instead of her friend´s light grey.
Lavender closed the book.
-What happened? - Pond asked, bewildered. - It was about to, probably, get better from there. - She then snapped, as if she wasn't supposed to say that.- I mean, you shouldn't read it if it contains so much emotions for you.
Lavender relaxed her eyes and looked at Pond with a patient smile.
-Let´s go out.
