There is an ancient game that the courageous and foolish used to play. They would go up to a powerful black glob that had no form, no gender, and no identity. They would dare each other to ask it questions and surprisingly it would answer them, but you must understand that the men that asked this glob questions were not as smart as humans are today. The glob told them it was only sitting on Earth temporarily. The men laughed at the glob and told it that it was like a rock and it had never moved from the place they had found it. They could not believe the glob would ever leave its place without movement, but they long forgot about the question of how it got there. One day they met at the usual location for the game but the glob was gone.
They fought each other because of the anger and confusion they were experiencing, as you would expect barbaric people to do, and they felt better as they fought for some reason. Only a few men lived and split the land into fourteen territories. They lived peacefully for a few years and then one of the primitive men died. It was actually of natural causes but because they did not know this information they assumed someone among the group killed the man for more land. So, they fought each other, again. Seven of them remained but they could not continue fighting because they were too tired and beaten down. They began to claim the lands of their deceased brethren. The guilt of doing so led two of them to insanity. They watched the others carefully, believing that at any moment they would strike. They eventually joined forces and plotted to take territory from the others. When their enemies were alone they hunted them down. Yes, they outnumbered their enemies in every battle by one man. When all of their enemies died they only had each other but their paranoia forced them to not trust each other and they fought each other. The strongest man won.
He thought of his riches and smiled. He had all the women of the land, all of the food, and all of the shelter. It did not even matter if a good amount of the women did not want him because to him they will always be owned by him. The glob returned and gave him a gift that would be passed down through his genes. It was the gift of always wanting everything and doing anything it takes to have everything that is of value to another member of the human race.
