In my travels of wandering around the Kingdom, I came across an Inn. I had no money and no food, so I thought it would be best for me to get a job of sorts. When I entered the Inn, there wasn't anybody there, save for the bartender. A deeply tanned man with short black hair, brown eyes, and about five feet eight inches. He was cleaning the mugs as I approched.
"H-Hi! I'd like to get a job."
The man looked up, blinked a couple of times.
"Your new here, arn't you?" The man thickly drawled.
I nodded, and he smiled.
"Well, I can tell you there's lots of jobs. Monster hunting, animal hunting, helping me around the Inn.."
"I-I was actually looking for a job around the church."
The man paused, "You met Olaf, didn't you?"
"Who? O-Oh! You mean the blond haired guy with a scar on his face?"
The man's face instantly darkened, "Stay away from that man, he deserves to be hung." He went back to cleaning mugs, giving me a not so friendly look. "Now get out of here, I don't want Olaf's whores running around my establishment."
My mouth dropped open in shock, "Wh-at? I-I'm not.."
"Don't care, my rules. Out."
I gave him a dirty look, fuming. "Look, I just came here for a job, not to be insulted by a bartender with no patrons. Are you going to give me a job or not?"
The man looked at me, his lips tightly prused and his brows knitted together, "I don't have to give you a job, you said you spoke with Olaf, that's all I need to know that I can't trust you. So no, no job, and get out."
Fuming, I turned around and stalked out, slamming the door shut. I sighed heavily, which was interupted by the swish of robes.
"What troubles you, Miss Rose?" Olaf's kind voice asked, to my surprise, he had ventured down the road without my noticing.
"Nothing..just trying to find a job." My shoulders slumped.
"I could give you one." He suggested, that dazzling smile yet again entering his face, "Come with me."
I nodded, and followed, casting one last look at the bartender, who was looking out the window, shaking his head.
