The next day was like every other day. I was expecting to be called into the principal's office, but I hadn't. Akane had left Northwood high, and never spoke to any one about the incident. She told every one that she fell down the stairs holding some glass jars that's why she had cuts and stabs. From the broken glass.

Skip -2years later

I walked into the cafeteria grabbed a plate and stood in line, I then got a slice of pizza and some grape juice. I was making my way to my usual seat next to my brother when someone grabbed hold of my shoulder. I turned around to see a young girl standing right In front of me, she had big innocent blue eyes that almost looked grey, her hair was a few inches below her shoulders and blond. She had to be about the same age as me or a year younger.

"Umm... Excuse me?" the girl said shyly looking down at her feet

"Hello" I said with a warm smile

"Uhh.. I'm new here and I was wondering if umm... You could be so kind as to help me?" she smiled brightly. It was the kind of innocent smile that could brighten anyone's day.

"Gladly, but first we should get you something to eat, what's your name?" I asked

"My name is Mina" she said with that bright smile of hers

"My name is Pepper" I smiled warmly held her had and walked her over to the queue where they served food. She came back and we went to sit with my brother Yuki.

"Hello" she said to my brother as she sat down next to me

"Oh hi, and who is this?" Yuki asked with a warm smile

"This is Mina, Mina this is my older brother Yuki"

"Nice to meet you" she said with a smile

"Like wise"

"So what brings you to this little town?" I asked taking a bight out of my pizza

"Well my dad is a teacher here"

"Cool what does he teach?" I said whilst munching on my delicious meat only pizza (I LOVE MEAT AND PIZZA!!) Then took a sip of my juice.

"He's the counselor"she said proudly

I did a spit take, covering Yuki's uniform in purple splatters.

"Hey!" He said wiping himself with a paper towel, I ignored him and turned my body to face Mina. I held her hand and looked at her as if she were an angel sent from the heavens to save me. "Seriously?" I asked

"Yeah"

"Hahahaha! That's great the last guy we had was crap" I said as I threw my hands up in the air.

Mina's.Prov.

"Well that's cause you scared him away, and the other counselors before him" I heard Yuki say

"Wait, your a special needs child?" I asked

"Since I was 9, but it got worse during an incident two years ago" she said with a sad smile

"I'm so sorry" I said bowing my head in apology

"Yeah well it was bound to happen anyway, considering that mum is mad too" Yuki said looking up from his plate smiling. He had a really great smile. "He's kinda handsome" I thought to myself. "Mums not mad she just views the world differently, and that makes her so full of joy" Pepper said in a matter of fact. The bell rang and we started heading to class. The three of us started down the hallway and stopped when we reached a door. "Well here we go, this is your class" Pepper said to me smiling warmly

"Thanks for helping me, I really appreciate it"

"No problem" just as I was about to walk into the class room someone grabbed me by the arm. "By the way, would you like to come over for dinner?"

"Well we only just met..... And won't your parents disagree?"

"Nonsense..our parents will be very happy to have you over"

"Yeah what's one more pretty girl?" Yuki said with a wink and I blushed ever so slightly.

"Alright"

"So that settles it then, you will be coming over after school?" She gave me a big hug and went off to class with her brother. When school was over I went over to my house to get ready. "Hello Grandma, Grandpa!" I said as I kissed them both on the forehead. "How was school sweetie?" My grandmother asked "It was great, I already made friends and they asked me to join them for dinner." I said a little too excitedly, I started to jump up and down almost knocking down the glass of water that sat on the tea table. "That's nice, well you better get ready before you are late." I went up stairs and opened up my wardrobe, scanning it for something nice to wear. I pulled out all my dresses but non of them were good enough.

I flopped on to my bed and let out a sigh. Then I heard a meow and I saw my ragdoll cat Mittens standing on the headboard, "What are you doing there?" I thought out loud stroking Mittens soft brown and white fur. I picked her up and placed her on my lap. I looked back at my headboard to see a picture of my parents. They looked so happy holding baby me in their arms, I smiled sadly as a tear trailed along my cheek. Then a knock from my bedroom door pulled me away from my thoughts.

"Yes, come in!" I said and my grandmother walked in holding a beautiful but casual summer dress. It looked familiar. I gasped realizing where I had seen it before.

"Is that one of mums?" I asked and my grandma simply nodded "But I can't wear this, what if I spill something on it or get it dirty!?"

"Then I will wash it"

"But its mums"

"Yes it is and she would love for you to have it" I took the dress from my grandma and went into the bathroom to change. When I walked out my grandmother gasped, placing her hand on her mouth as a tear ran down her fragile old face. "Grandma are you ok?" I asked walking towards her. She held my hand and and took me over to the mirror so I could see how I looked she smiled brightly. "You look just like her when she was your age" I turned around and hugged her "Thank you grandma" I said as a few tears slid down my face. "Well you don't want to be late"

We arrived at the house. It wasn't small but it wasn't big either. It was a double story with a large window beside the front door, and small windows everywhere else. It was a navy blue house with creepers creeping up the walls and flowers bloomed on the cherry blossom tree in the front yard. I walked up to the door and rung the doorbell. The door opened. "Hey Mina!" Pepper said excitedly opening the door wider and motioning me to come in."You have a really nice house" I said as we walked in to the living room. Yuki was sitting on the couch watching Attack on Titan, he turned around noticing me "Hey Mina glad you could make it" he smiled then the front door opened and a beautiful woman walked in. She wore a light blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up, underneath she wore a white tank top and black jeans, and ankle height light blue sneakers. "Hello everyone!!" She said as she rushed into the kitchen to put the groceries down. Foot steps came from up stares and there was a man standing in front of the kitchen. "That must be Pepper and Yuki's parents" I thought to my self.

Pepper's mum ran up to Pepper's dad and she gave him a great big hug, he lifted her and spun her around "How is my beautiful wife doing today" he said with a big warm smile on his face "I'm doing great now that I am with my lovely family!" She walked over to Yuki and Pepper and gave them a kiss on the forehead. "Hey mum" they said giving her a side hug. "And who is this lovely little girl you have brought home, is this your girlfriend Yuki?" She teased, we looked at each other and I noticed his face turned red and I blushed. "Uh N..No! This is Peppers friend Mina" he said quickly. She stuck her hand out and I shook it "Hello Mina, my name is Mrs Kurunami but you can call me aunt June." She said with a bright smile "Nice to meet you." I gave her my warmest smile.

We all sat at the dining table in the kitchen. Aunt June placed a bunch of pots and bowels on the table, she opened all the lids "Bonapate!" She said and we all dug in. "So Mina what brings you to this little old town" Mr Kurunami asked "Well my dad was working in a university but he decided he wanted a job that is a bit low key, so we came here because my grandparents lived here and it would be nice to live close to family. He got a job interview at Nothwood High and we ended up living with my grandparents." "Cool, what does he teach?" Aunt June asked excitedly. "He's the guidance councillor"

Time flew bye, and it was soon time for me to leave. "Well good bye everyone it was nice meeting you!" I said as I walked out the front door "It was nice to have you over, you should come again sometime." I heard Mr Kurunami say as the whole family stood by the door way waving good bye.

I got home and I was exhausted. I went up stairs to my bedroom,as I entered I saw my self in the mirror and smiled. I shut the door and stared to undress. When I had finished changing into a big shirt I picked up my mums dress and placed it neatly in the wardrobe with the others. I lay on my bed and stared at the roof, then I started drifting off in to a deep sleep.
