Step up to the soapbox fellow fanatics, because warts and imperfections aside... we got major love for the Marvel Age that was spawned using the Marvel Method.
We think (The gang here took a vote...and it was unanimous!!!) that never before, and never after, did the visual aspects of comics advance at such a rapid rate as it did under the masterful pencils and pens of Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby.
Without a single technological advancement or change, these guys created a new kind of storytelling magic. Kirby's powerful posing, Ditko's exquisitely executed exaggerations of motion...and so on... and so on! They redefined and re-shaped the cliches that had stagnated the medium.
A mighty tip of the hats to you good masters of the art!
