Kaylee
“One more shot, and Kaylee Thompson the Great will demolish Tanner Diaz!” I yelled, sprinting across the near empty court.
“Winning by two baskets is not demolishing me, Frizz.”
“My hair is GREAT, thank you!”
“I like it! I’m just commenting on how poofy it is.” He backtracked, sprinting away from me.
“Suuuure, Spike.”
“Hey!”
Tanner paused and shot me a hurt look. Seizing the opportunity, I grabbed the ball away from him and sped down the court.
“You little..!” He yelled, chasing after me.
I laughed like a maniac as I threw the ball, sending it right through the net. A perfect shot.
“VICTORYYY!” I yelled in celebration.
Tanner fell to his knees.
“If the guys ever found out that I lost to a girl….”
“Excuse me, the captain of the basketball team.”
“The girls’ basketball team.”
“Screw your patriarchy.”
Tanner laughed and smacked the hardwood. He reached his hand towards mine.
“Good game, captain.”
I shook it. “You as well.”
He ran a hand through his spiky hair. “The score doesn’t leave this gym, got it?”
“Why not, captain?” I teased.
“Because it would ruin me.” He said, walking down the court with me. “See you at dinner.”
“Bye.” I said, jogging away and all the way back to the dorms.
With a reluctant push, I entered room 204 and made eye contact with my grumpy roommate.
“Tell me you didn’t sit here alone with Instagram the whole time, Princess.”
“Kaylee Thompson I will actually murder you. And I went out with people, thank you very much.”
“Aww. They ditch you?”
“Screw you. They had stuff to do.”
“Mhm…”
“DIE. Why are you so gross anyways?”
“I was busy kicking Tanner’s ass at basketball.”
“You won?”
“Hell yeah!” I grinned.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door that connected our room to the one next to us.
“Time to meet the neighbors.” Groaned Alexis.
As I yanked open the door, 4 jaws dropped.
Standing in the doorway were Madison Diaz and Autumn Archer.
