there is this weird thing all the kids in my neighborhood do, whenever they hear a helicopter passing overhead they all stop and hold still while looking down and and if you ask them what they are doing they say "the birds are so loud today" in overly cheerful fake voices. the adults just keep going on with whatever they are doing but all the kids and teens freeze for as long as they can hear the helicopter. i wish i was joking but i'm not and it's super weird.
