(*)There's a story of how Ngu Lao met lord Tran for the first time. It was when lord Tran on his way from the capital back to his land. His guards were ordered to clear the way for their lord. While other people were making way, there was a person who just sit still in the middle of the road, working on his creates. The guard thought he was crazy and forced him to leave by stabbing one of their spears on the guy's thigh (and he was bleeding, sure). But he didn't move. It took a while and that strange event made lord Tran curious, so he decided to have some talks with the strange guy. It turned out he was too indulged in his thought about battling strategies and lessons from the books he read that he totally forgot about the world outside.
