Entry Points 017: A Bigger Gun

That move where Max dives for Agent Sojac’s rifle, rolls, grabs the rifle off the ground while upside-down in mid-roll, and then comes up out of the roll with the rifle pointed at the tentacle-beast? That was another martial arts action move that was hard to explain to Mike in writing.
So Andrew’s wife shot a quick video clip of me doing that move myself, at my aikido dojo, using a wooden practice sword in place of the rifle (because sadly the selection of weapons on hand at the dojo doesn’t include energy rifles). We sent the video clip to Mike and this page is the glorious result.
Interesting how the shoulder strap of Agent Sojac’s rifle just happened to get neatly severed by one of Max’s bullets back on page 10, so that now the rifle just happens to be laying right there on the rooftop for Max. One might almost suspect there was some sort of weird luck involved...
