Song: New Thang by Redfoo
"I can't believe she made you fly out the room," Chris said.
I had a tissue up my nose, waiting for it to stop bleeding a second time. "Believe it dude. She can pack a punch too. Last week she hit me so hard I couldn't breathe for a good thirty seconds."
Chris sat back in his chair and crossed his arms behind his head. "I don't get it. Why are you trying so hard for a date? She'll never say yes."
I sighed. "Because I want to go in order."
"You're never going to complete that list by the end of the year!" he shouted at me. "She's not even that pretty."
"Better than what you call a girlfriend!"
"Bitch please! You don't know the first thing about dating! All you do is fuck and walk!"
Not denying that. I hate dating. In my opinion, it's a waste of my time. I don't even wanna date Mia, I just wanna fuck her and I can get onto the next girl. "Well, what do you suggest then Mr. 'I date so I know women'?"
Chris thought about it for a bit, leaning back in his chair so only two legs were on the ground. "Have you tried flowers? Girls like flowers."
"Scratch that off. I tried giving her roses, but she gave them to other people." The bleeding had finally stopped. Thank God!
"How about jewelry or chocolate? Or even just plain asking without flirting?"
I sighed. "I tried giving her some earrings and a box of chocolates but she threw them back saying she didn't need them."
Chris fell back. "What kind of chick lets down fucking jewelry?!" I shrugged and threw my bloody tissue in the trash. "Stuffed animals! Have you tried that?!"
I searched my brain for a few seconds. "I don't think I have. You think that will work? Mia didn't like all the other stuff," I said.
"Write a sappy poem to go with it and find out her favorite flowers. Then we'll put them in her locker."
"I don't know man. She'll know it's me and might come and try to kick my ass."
Chris folded his arms and glared at me. "Do you really want to kick with her or not?"
"Maybe we can ask her friend. She seems to know Mia pretty well," I said. I grab my bag and help Chris off the floor. "You think you can ask her?"
He dusted off his jeans. "Goth girl? Isn't she a Side?"
"Yeah, but I don't think Mia cares. They've been friends since middle school."
We made our way out of the office thanking the nurse yet again for letting me stay for the class. She waved absent mindedly at us, nose in her notes. "Come by anytime boys," she called after us.
"I keep telling you, she's a weirdo. She hangs out with Sides and doesn't even try to make her story. It's almost like she is trying to become a Blank," Chris complains.
I shrugged. "I don't care. She has a pretty face and an okay bod. That's I want."
Chris chuckled at the thought. "Can you imagine that? Her trying to be a blank while the rest of the world wants to have a face? Why would she want to fade into the background? Everyone want to be in the spotlight at least once in their life right?"
"Why are you even interested in it? I thought you didn't like her," I glared at him. Please take the hint to shut the fuck up!
However he didn't get the clue and continued to talk. "I don't. She keeps beating the shit out of you."
I rolled my eyes. Of course he didn't get the hint. He's so oblivious it took his girlfriend almost five times to get him to figure out she liked him. "Dude, you need to shut up about her. People are going to think you like her or something."
"Oh like you?"
I laughed. "Who would I like a girl like her? She's just another chick on the list. Don't get any stupid ideas Chris. You don't need to loose anymore brain cells"
Chris shrugged. "If you say so. Are you going to go with the plan tomorrow?"
"Yeah," I sighed. "I don't really have anything to lose now do I?"

Everything was ready! I got the flowers and the bear, and made a few notes to plant all around her stuff. It was surprisingly easy to get Brysiese to tell us Mia's favorite flower. She even told us Mia's locker combination.
"It's fun watching Mia get frustrated with you," she said. "Makes it easier to conduct my experiments as well."
Right before school, Chris and I snuck in and pushed the the gifts in Mia's locker. Brysiese, helped distract her at the door to give us sometime to plant the notes in her books and desk. Now, to just sit and wait.
Mia walked up talking to Brysiese, with a smile. Her hair was curled and hidden under a white beanie. Her chubby body was dressed up in a white knit dress with black legging and boots. An olive green winter coat was on her arm with a white knitted scarf. It's not even the middle of winter and she looks like she's ready for the snow. Her glasses were off today, but she still didn't wear any makeup. To be honest, she looked pretty cute.
"She looks nice today," Chris whispered. "Do you think she has a date after school?"
I glared at him. "She better not. The only one taking her on a date is me."
He raised an eyebrow. "Dude, you sound like a possessive boyfriend."
Mia had reached her locker, still talking with her friend. "Shut up, she's opening it."
As she put in the combination, I could feel my heart rate go up with anticipation. I don't know why but I really don't want her to let this down. Maybe the challenge is getting to me. Mia opened her locker and stepped back in shock. The bear was sitting on her books with a bouquet that I bought last night and a small note.
She picked up the note and opened. "What does it say?" Brysiese asked.
"'Are you an interior decorator? Because when I saw you, the entire room became beautiful.'" She looked up and stared at Brysiese confused. "I don't get it."
All three of us smacked our foreheads. How do you not get that?! "Um, I think they were trying to say you're beautiful Mia," Brysiese hinted.
Mia rolled her eyes. "What a stupid thing to write! Why not just say it to my face?"
"Maybe they're embarrassed," She tried. "They may not want to come across as a romantic."
Mia pulled out her books, the bear and the flowers then put in her coat and scarf. "The bear's kind of cute. How did they know that lilies were my favorite flower?"
"A lucky guess?"
She stared at the bouquet for a little longer with a frown and started down the hall. "I guess so, but white lilies aren't exactly a commonly loved flower. Come on, I don't wanna be late for homeroom."
As soon as they rounded the corner, I fell out of my hiding place with a relieved sigh. I thought she would know it was me as soon as she read the note. Chris nudged me in the side with a big grin on his face. "Looks like she likes the gift."
I rubbed my injured ribs with a glare. "Yeah, only because she doesn't know it's me," I said. "Once she finds out, she'll most likely throw all of it away."
Chris shrugged. "Maybe she'll like you more because of this. Just treat her like a cat. Leave her alone and she'll most likely come to you sooner or later," he grabbed his bag off the ground and pulled out his phone. "I need to go see Kat before class," he wiggled his eyebrows. "She needs a little of this sex machine before history. See you later!" And with that he was gone, going to have the fuck of his life in the janitor's closet while I'm stuck here sexually frustrated.
