Storytime:
I remember back when I was little I always wanted to have a pet but since my mom was a single parent with 3 mouths to feed we couldn't have any pets. So I had a bad tendency to feed stray animals scrap food.
There was one particular incident when I met a stray cat and some how lured the cat into our house by leaving the door open and offering food (in my teenage brain I thought it was a loop hole, since it was a stray it wasn't technically ours and I didn't bring it in it walked in on it's own.)
Needless to say we all got attached to that cat and he was the sweetest thing. Whenever he wanted to come inside he'd always jump on my big sister's window sill and I'd crack open her screen and let him in (she would always complain about that.)
But one day when my uncles pregnant girlfriend was living with us she chased the cat away throwing food at him and yelling at him. After that day he never came back and I was so distraught. I think I saw him one day in a yard next to us and called out to him but he just took off running away from me and that broke my heart more. I held a deep grudge against her for the longest time, like I seriously hated her guts but because I was a teenager and she was an adult I couldn't show my distain all willy nilly so I would run my mouth under my breath or talk down about her unseasoned spaghetti ^^;
Everything fine now and I got over my grudge and love her to pieces but boy howdy those memories are still there.
I get attached to animals much quicker than I do to humans XD
