And here it begins. For as long as LoaA has been on my mind (a few years now), I knew that I wanted to wrap up the first "arc" with Susan and Mizuki being the main focus of this chapter. Early on, I had envisioned the two girls talk one on one about their mental problems and their respective struggles to fit in with society, but eventually that felt too unrealistic for the grounded tone that LoaA would eventually have not to mention it was also unrealistic on the grounds that Susan and Mizuki barely know each other aside from a shared interest in manga and for reasons you will all see later on Birds of a Feather.
Life of an Aspie follows the everyday life of Susan Graham, a teenaged American girl with Asperger's Syndrome living in Japan with her grandmother who runs a boarding school.
Eager for a fresh start, she can't wait to start attending Fukuzawa High until she gets accidentally humiliated by a popular ladies man named Takeshi.
Vowing to swear off men during her high school years, Susan is determined to keep to this goal...so long as her asperger's lets her.
Recommended for readers Ages 16 and up due to strong language, suggestive themes, nudity, and violence.
