Lucca de Sangre was surveying the astral plane. As a dragon he had a presence in both the physical world and the astral plane at the same time. It was confusing when you were a wyrmling, but as you grew up, you could kind of tune one or the other out. He was surprised to find a floating ship also sailing the astral plane.
Selva du Chateauxbriand noticed the dragon coming toward her ship. He landed on deck, and everyone pointed their weapons at him. Both sides knew that the dragon would win, but he would probably be hurt very badly in the process.
“Have you come to fight, or parley, cherie?” asked Selva.
“Parley. Can you ship transport people to any plane?” asked Lucca.
“Yes, but we are not, how do you say, a taxi?” said Selva.
“I see. I could offer you resources to transport some of my agents,” Lucca said.
“No, we do not do business with dragons. Standard dimensional pirate policy. Au revoir,” said Selva. She would've turned her back on him, but that might've been fatal.
Lucca sighed,”Well, I know now that such vessels can be built. It’s only a matter of time and materials to make it happen. You have been most helpful, Captain,”
Selva sighed as Lucca leapt off the starboard side and began the journey home. They had escaped death, but she doubted this would be the last time she would see Lucca.
