Jay will start back up with chapter 2 in about a week.
edit: just realized one little bit of misleading info. Idaho is part of Oregon Territory (along with Washington, Oregon, and part of Montana and Wyoming), and was acquired by the US in a treaty with Great Britain in 1846. It was not part of the Louisiana Purchase of 1803. I realize I made it sound like it was.
Your dad ran the crew that moved the historic train depot in Wallace, Idaho from its original spot to its current location when they upgraded interstate 90 in 1989-90.
13 years old and alone to fend for herself in the Wild West, Jay has already overcome great obstacles just to get this far. But the odds are still stacked strongly against her. What will be in store for her in the mines of Northern Idaho? Will she ever be able to free herself of the demons of her past?
Jay is a western set in North Idaho in the late nineteenth century. It is a story of perseverance in the face of sexual abuse, misogyny, and greed.
