I’ve noticed that I seem to collect friends that are into the occult.

About a week ago I ran into a neighbor I hadn’t spoken to in some time - not since she told me about Frank. I’m not changing his name to protect his identity because – well – he’s dead. I will change my neighbor’s name though, on account of her being alive. We’ll call her Hannah.

Hannah and I ended up making dinner at her place, and making a bottle of wine disappear. That was when we got it in our heads to contact Frank. Frank is a gentleman who definitely existed and committed suicide in our building. I actually have seen the news clippings, and based on the description of which window he leapt from, it sure sounds like hers. So. Hannah broke out the dowsing rods.

I hear you. “Whoever is holding them moves them, like a Ouija board.” Look. I’m with you, but a few things happened that night that I cannot explain. First, I was holding the rods, and I wasn’t moving shit. Second, Hannah asked if we could take Frank’s picture, and then where he was standing. The rods swung out to either side and pointed behind me. Being the asshole I am, I snarked at “Frank” to stop hiding. In response, the rods swung around and pointed in front of me. A coincidence. Sure. Third off, at this exact moment, my vision got blurry and I got so light-headed that I had to drop the rods and sit on the couch to keep from literally passing out. Tall people know this exact feeling of disorientation as “standing up too fast.” Fourth off, Hannah snapped a picture of the space next to me and there were weird glowy streaks hovering in the air.

Now I know you want to make Hannah into a charlatan, but she does this for fun. She doesn’t make money off of it, and seemed as surprised as I was. There was no audience. I can’t think of a motive to fake anything or even a way to have done it without me noticing.

I’m not saying I’m a believer now but you’re not gonna see me talking shit about Frank either.

OMG smooth rock? It is here!
So nice to see both Sawyer and Ollie worrying about Sid. Man, if that goes on I might really start liking them.
[edit]: I never realized until now how bushy Sawyer's eyebrows are.
