Six in the morning, and a bleeping alarm clock awakens Sonia to a grudgeful push. Not only was her alarm loud, but it also startled Scruffles, who jumped high into the air, screeching then clinging onto Sonia's head in fear. Sonia grumbled and forced to get Scruffles from pulling her hair out, regardless of how painful the process felt. Feeling like it was too early to get up, Sonia shuts off her alarm and catches a few more nods of sleep. The fall season makes the morning feel dark, giving Sonia the chance to sleep easily without the sun blinding her face. Matthew, who regularly enjoys waking up an hour earlier than Sonia, walks into the room to find Sonia trying to sleep in.
"This girl is going to miss the bus if she goes around sleeping in bed all day," Matthew sighed. The dog carefully climbed onto the bed and walked to Sonia's face. Staring at her contently, he then proceeds to lick her face a few times. Sonia suddenly opens her eyes from the licking and grumbles, "Okay-okaaaaay, I'm getting up. I'm getting up..." Sonia slowly sits up and rubs her eyes so that her body doesn't strain her, then begins to walk over to the bathroom to start her day.
In the bathroom, Sonia turns on the sink, opens her mirror cabinet to get her toothbrush and toothpaste, closes it and then suddenly sees what looks like a demonic birdman. Sonia quickly gasps and shakes her head to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Just as she opened her eyes, the entity had gone away. Trying to process what she just saw, Sonia slowly peered around her mirrors as she brushes her teeth. "Is something there...?" she thought while holding her toothbrush tight as she brushes her teeth, unknowingly scrubbing a little too hard on her gums, causing some small spurts of blood to fall into the sink. Once she finished, Sonia stripped down for a cleansing shower.
The shower fixtures always begin with cold water until slowly heating up each passing second. The steamy, warm water allowed Sonia to relax and wake up as she grabs the soap and rag and began to wash up. The mist begins to fog the mirrors, and the steam slowly covers the bathroom. As she showered, an eerie sound faintly penetrates Sonia's ears, opening her eyes to look around swiftly through the foggy bathroom. Believing it's nothing, Sonia goes back to washing her hair. The sound of the drain pipe slowly rumbled violently, sucking in the water in a giant roar. The pipe rumbled harder as a beast slithered its slimy, misshapen body out from the drain and loomed heavily over the young ginger. Sonia jumped as she felt an odd bit of slime rush between her toes. There, she finally got a good view of the beast behind her.
A tall, slender, spiny, and slimy being stood before her, with dark green eyes and a disfigured face. Sonia began to scream loudly, grabbing the curtain in order to blind the beast, but the monster cut through the plastic before eliciting a monstrous roar. Matthew barged in the bathroom as soon as he heard the roars, and ran through the fog. The golden hound lunges with mouth agape, then sinks his teeth in the demon's backside. Sonia took the opportunity to escape, pull Matthew away and lock the beast in the bathroom. Scruffles, who was hiding under the bed, cried out, "What the heck's going on?!" Sonia quickly looks at Scruffles gasps, "The amulet!" She then grabs the jewel from Scruffles as it glows red violently as she puts it on.
"Gah! How does this thing work?!?!" Sonia cried as she shook the amulet violently.
The demon then blasts through the bathroom door and charges at the unprepared Sonia, ready to strike. Suddenly, the amulet creates an impenetrable shield around Sonia, Matthew, and Scruffles, countering the thrust and causing the demon to discombobulate. The amulet then unleashes a powerful laser, piercing through the demon's chest. The slime demon EXPLODES, showering much of Sonia's room in demon sludge. Just then, Sonia's father barges into the room, holding a baseball bat to protect Sonia. But all he saw was his daughter and his pets standing there, shivering naked. He didn't even try to question the hundreds of red stains all across the walls. And in turn, Sonia couldn't even say a word. How could she? Would you really ever actually tell your parents about an unforeseen supernatural cause that happened to you in your own room? They'd probably think you're insane or something. Yikes...
After about twenty-five minutes of cleaning up, Sonia quickly packed her bag and raced to the bus stop. The bus had already picked up the last child boarding the bus and rolled back to the streets. Realizing this, Sonia sprinted, chasing the bus as it began to speed up. Sonia's dad saw her run and called, "Sonia! Wouldn't you feel better if I gave you a ride?" Sonia turned her head and shouted, "No, dad! If I follow it, I can catch it on the next stop!" Sonia had never ran at such speeds before. Whether it be from the traumatic experience, or the amulet, Sonia surely enjoyed this sudden rush of speed. And she wasn't tired one bit!
She followed the bus all the way until they exited the current neighborhood neighborhood and entered one just down the road. Eventually, Sonia catches the bus, but as soon as she finds a suitable seat to sit in, she flops onto a chair that happens to be across from that mean girl, Cindy.
"Look, everyone! It's potato-face!" Cindy calls out, causing anyone who remembers that fateful day to mockingly laugh. Sonia bluntly ignores the blonde and gets up to walk to the back of the bus. However, , she decides to say one little thing before past her, "Y'know. For someone who's supposed to be the mayor's beloved and faithful daughter, you must be treated like a flea-ridden poodle if you're riding on a public bus." Sonia's comment causes everyone to call out, "Oooooooooooooooooh..." while Cindy is mouth agape as Sonia walks to the back of the bus. Wow! Sonia didn't think she'd have the courage to say that before! She then proudly sits in a three-seater that's not only occupied by her, but also by the moody girl wearing black and blue, as well as Mellisa.
"Oh! Hi, Sonia!" Mellisa giggles, "Nice to see you here." Sonia could only see large girl in black, wondering where Mellisa was. The girl in black slumps into her seat more like a TV remote slowly sliding between the openings of your couch so that Sonia could see Mellisa and respond to her. Mellisa rubs the head of the girl in black as she chats with Sonia.
"This is Julianna, she's my bestie!" Mellisa began, "She and I do everything together."
"Your bestie? Are you sure?" Sonia asked, "She looks more like she's uhh..."
"Like what?" Julianna interrupted with a small snarl on her face.
"N-nothing! It's just I assumed you were more like her bodyguard or something... Nevermind," Sonia stopped, feeling embarrassed.
"Yeah, that's what I thought," Julianna grumbled, slumping back into her seat until Mellisa presses her cheek against hers and her a warm hug and says, "Oh, bestie. You're so silly sometimes." Julianna grumbles and deeper slumps in her chair as Mellisa coddled her. Sonia giggled at the pair's interactions.
"Stop laughing, you potato," Julianna shot back, causing Sonia to giggle and laugh more, and making Mellisa do the same. Julianna, who's as red as a tomato, silently mutters, "One day, I'm going to murder the both of you..."
Meanwhile... in a demonic lair in a far off galaxy, Solaria could be found undercutting his minions, punishing them profusely. The few demons that haven't been fully tortured were able to escape, pushing past a skeleton witch along the way. The Skeleton Witch throws a poison orb at the few running demons, causing them to spontaneously combust. The sack of cloth and bones then entered Solaria's throne room. Solaria notices the witch and calls her out, "What is it, Maligra, you blasted wench...? Can't you see that I am trying to devise an earth-shattering plan? And I cannot fully enact that plan if you are distracting me." Maligra floats over without replying to his comment. She then pulls out a spell from her spellbook.
"An enchant'd f'rtune I bringeth to thee. A mutation spelleth poisonous f'r coequal a gentle crew." Maligra stated.
"A pretty blunt and precise explanation for a woman who enjoys ancient rhymes... but why should I care?" Solaria questioned darkly, "What purpose does it have for my cause?" A rumble occurs behind the castle walls.
"What the...." Solaria started until a gigantic bird-like creature barges into the room, roars to assert its dominance over the miniature demons as its claws unsheathe, and spiked wings thrust out of its back. Curious, Solaria raises a jagged hand over the beast, using his powers to peer into its mind. The monster was as empty a vial. A perfect vessel for his malicious deeds. The perfect demon, indeed. Tongue-speak flutters into the ears of the large creature, as Solaria fuels its mind with destruction and danger. Solaria whispers commands into the avian demon's ears, and to retrieve his prized artifact.
"I am your master..." Solaria spoke.
"You are my master..." The Avian demon repeated.
"No one will stop you from your mission..." Solaria commanded.
"No one will stop me from my mission..." The avian demon repeated as well.
"You will kill anyone who gets in your way..." Solaria ordered.
"I will kill anyone who gets in my way..." The avian demon repeated once more.
"Hail the Demon King, Solaria..." Solaria says with a grim tone.
"Hail the Demon King, Solaria..." The avian demon repeated in the same manner.
"He is a devilish one. I enjoy that..." Solaria chuckles darkly as he opens up a mystic mirror to reveal his enemy. The demon king then orders, "This, my avian friend, is your target... Find her, annihilate her, and bring me that necklace..." Maligra raises her hands, and opens up a portal for the beast. The Avian Demon growls as it spreads its wings in the the throne room, knocking a few items to the ground. The demon pulls back, then charges through the portal, flying through the galaxy where the planet Earth resides.
"Mast'r. What beest of the goddess? what if 't be true the lady attacks?" Maligra queried.
"Do not be so daft, you wicked witch. As long as that goddess is trapped within that necklace, there is no way she will be able to use her full powers to assist this so-called champion... They'll be dead before they know it." Solaria reclaimed.
"What about thee? Wherefore thee not battleth this... bloody wench, yourself? Wherefore art thee not w'rried...?" questioned the skeptic witch. This issue clearly made Solaria laugh, "Worried? Hah! Why I enjoy a challenge of course. Do you think I truly care if my minions go around getting slain? If this girl is truly the one, then I have a worthy opponent on my hands. And once she's defeated, I will gladly take the chance to torture every soul on that feeble planet as I wish! Besides, as long as our demon army is able to hold her in my subterfuge, she won't be able to even leave the planet! Such a fool, a destined fool. And when she dies I will happily tear the hope from her dying flesh... Slowly... Menacingly... absorbing her orgasmic screams for mercy as the radiance of grace is raped from her mortal soul. This is only the beginning... and that goddess is next..."
Solaria slumped back into his throne, changing his back walls from a fiery shield, to a clear glass filled to the brim with screaming souls. He then opens up what resembles a wine cabinet and pulls out a bottle that was named "Eau de Souls for a Ravenous Majesty: The bloodiest of Souls in all the Underworld." Solaria looks to Maligra and offers her a glass. The two wine glasses rise as the bleeding souls are poured inside. The demon king playfully persuades, "A spoteth of souls, mine own ragg'd beldams?" Maligra's jaws crack a smile as she happily accepts the offer. She cheers with the demon king as they both take a drink, though even while Solaria can drink, Maligra can't, causing the swig to flush through her ribs and splash onto the castle floor. Maligra annoyedly sighs as Solaria's guts cramp in laughter.
