In the city, Sonia's dad works in a magazine company about beauty, fashion, and tips about staying healthy, vibrant, and luscious. Think of it like a mix of Vogue, People Magazine, and Organic Beauty. Here, Sonia's father works as writer and assistant editor of each article of the magazine. As he comes out of the elevator, he waves to his co-workers as he walks to his office.
"Hey David!” A co-worker called out, “I got those new drafts for you: 15 Ways to maximize your Young Skin! Ain’t that a charmer?”
“Sure is, Paul. Say uhh… why not place that on my desk and I’ll get to it in a bit,” David began, “Hey where’s Billy?”
“Oh he’s on his break,” Paul commented, “You know him. Drinkin’ at bars ‘n’ sleepin’ in people’s lawns.”
“I’d bet he’d probably get his new job being the world’s first human garden gnome,” David joked around.
“Say, you up for some coffee, David?” Paul asked.
“Only if you’re planning to grind the beans today,” David replied, making both of them chuckle. Both workers laughed together as they walked over to the break room to get some coffee. When the two co-workers head downstairs, they pass Billy at the break room, who was actually sleeping in a lounge chair.
“Shhh….” Paul whispered, “We don’t wanna wake the kitty-cat.” Paul and David tip-toed past the sleeping Billy who had his face on his palm as his arms rest on the arm of the chair and paperwork slowly rising and falling on his belly. The two exit the room and head over to the break room successfully without making a sound.
Meanwhile, the entity of black magic slithered through elevator doors and across the room. The dark magic examined the room for any kind of prey to feed its energy on, until it spotted a quiet Billy sleeping peacefully. The black magic zoomed over to Billy and crawled up his leg through his clothes in order to reach the sloth’s head. The black entity then grew an eye and studied the looks of its prey. The being then entered Billy’s brain through his nose and began to penetrate his mind.
Inside Billy’s mind, Billy was dreaming of himself as the host of the reality show, “The Bachelor” as he treats a few lucky girls on a date. Billy was dressed in a suave, sleek leisure suit and tie. Billy’s shoes were made of the fanciest leathers from Europe, and had a haircut fancier than the Prince of England. His current date was a woman who’s about as famous as Kim Kardashian, all complete with looks and everything.
“So,” Billy started in a suave voice, “What do you say that after this date, you and I… travel the world together?” The woman began to laugh cutely; however, the slithery demon was right behind her and took over her body once the beast entered her head. The woman’s eyes turned a shade of green, like a sea monster. She then pounded her hands onto the table as she stood up. The woman grabbed Billy by his tie and pulled him towards her, showing teeth, which have grown to be as sharp as a fanged beast.
“U-uh-uh-uh-uh….. Honey, are you ok..? Billy stammered, but the beastly woman had the poor man within her voracious grip, and before Billy could react, she proceeded to eat him, starting by gnawing off his head. In the real world, Billy shuddered and shivered as his body grew pale. He flopped around as if he was having a seizure while has dream-self tries to break free from the beastly woman’s grasp. Billy couldn’t fight it as his dream-self was dying. He could feel his life force being drained profusely and his organs slowly stop working. In the real world, Billy screamed and threw himself over on different walls of the office, knocking over people and other items and ran around in a frantic manner all up until the poor man tripped and fell down a flight of stairs. Billy tripped from the seventh floor of the building, slipped from the fifth, and rolled down the third, all before crashing into the door that leads to the stairs from the first floor. Billy opened his eyes slowly, but all that he could see was only a mere blur. Then, the demon that caused Billy’s vicious nightmare exited the big man’s body as he manifested a form of his own. The demon had claws sharper than knives, arms that look as if they are from withered trees but as strong as an ox, a body as black as the shadows, blue eyes that look as if they were set ablaze, and what looks like a canister atop its head and within its stomach that collects the souls and dreams of its victims. The demon looked at Billy one last time and raised its claw above him, ready to deliver the finishing blow, but suddenly, a knock on the door is heard, making the demon look at the door as he saw the shadow of two workers coming his way. The demon slithered through the wall like the wind, leaving no trace of its presence. Just then, a secretary opened the door while carrying a few items, had her eyes bulged out as she dropped her things and ran to help Billy.
“Mr. Patterson?!” The secretary cried, “Mr. Patterson, ARE YOU OK?” Billy groaned as he rubbed his head, giving her a sense of relief. However, Billy’s eyes grew red as if he was possessed, and he immediately attacked the secretary head-on, causing her to give out a high-pitched scream, leaving her condition unknown and leaving the workplace in danger. The nightmare demon slithered through the shadows of the outside world, searching for Sonia, but not before wreaking havoc to anyone who may be asleep along the way.
