I really like how you added that cliffhanger at the end of the chapter, it reeled me in to read some more. I like the characters so far, everyone except that lady with that hat she attitude problem, but I'm sure she has her reasons.

She is aided by Fenris, a “magus” who holds pieces of the puzzle to her past. With her peaceful life now disrupted, Alice finds herself drawn into the disarray of a witch hunt.
