Coefficient assumptions are at the problem of the root.
You learn the quadratic formula in school. You don't learn the cubic or quartic formulas, since they're hideous. And quintics (degree 5) provably have no formula. None, not with radical signs, at least. Meaning if Para moved over, her vertex would use an infinite decimal number with no short form notation. Neat, huh?
