Xander, no one listens to you. Since when is this surprising?
Episode Recap:
Grant’s back on the case, advocating for Shane. Xander completely brushes Grant’s concerns off with flippant, harsh language that should be suspicious by now. In fact Xander’s so enamored with Kore that he can’t even stay on topic with the conversation and rhapsodically tells Grant her name and that it’s ‘poetic’. Kore, if you don’t know, is another name for the goddess Persephone. It means ‘girl’. Xander drops the quip that he thinks it fits the situation well, referencing the legendary abduction of Persephone by Hades the god of the underworld. Xander does look a bit demonic doesn’t he? But he’s god of 1000 sheep so I’m not seeing the similarity. Those thousand sheep look super angry though. Look at him, with his army of angry sheep that he can send out to make you sorry for your crimes. Evil Overlord. Baaa. He is sitting in his personal copy of the George Peabody Library at John’s Hopkins University in Baltimore, if it’s still standing. Grant leaves with the grim thought that Xander will drink himself into a stupor tonight. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t, but it’s highly probable that Xander falls asleep in his chair because we see the library the next morning from the same angle.
