In the year 2057, The emperor of Japan was overthrown by a power-hungry dictator. Now a dictatorship, Japan began to develop nanomachines, which it used in 2059 to wipe out the majority of Asia and America. World War III was started. Europe, Oceania, and Africa joined forces and fought against the evil Empire, and almost won. Almost. The Japanese Empire had built massive uranium mines in the continents it had taken over, and had built an impressive arsenal of nuclear warheads. With WWIII turned nuclear, the world fell into nuclear fallout, with every large country bombed to extinction, with only a few hundred allied survivors in remote bomb shelters. Meanwhile, the entire Imperial army was put into cryosleep for 2000 years, waiting until the earth became habitable again. Meanwhile, 89 years after the bombings, the allied survivors began to emerge from the shelters, with no technology left whatsoever. Civilization was reset. 1911 years later, an industrial revolution was taking place in the new countries of Sturmsturz, Kingsland, and Otchizna. That same year, the Empire emerged. World War IV began.
