The next morning, they crowded around me; waiting for an answer.
"So? Mr. Bluer, are you going?" Rygus was jumping up and down.
I smiled and told him, "Yes, I'm going with you guys."
"Hooray!" Xarius cheered quietly in the corner. "We will leave in a few days."
"But where will we stay?" I hope we have a place to stay. I don't want to go back home after running away.
Helle looked worried, too. "I need a place to live for the next few days. I told my mother I'll be gone so don't prepare anything for me."
Rygus raised his arm high into the air. "You guys can stay at my place, it's lonely without company. Green hair, are you coming too?"
Xarius twitched his eyebrow and glared and Rygus, "Who're you calling 'green hair'?"
"I mean," Helle interrupted to smooth the mood, "you never really had a proper introduction, Xarius."
"Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Xarius Jacambo. I am a warrior from the Jacambo tribe living in the forest, but I prefer a more modern style of living."
"My name is Rygus Kersia. I am from the assassin family, Kersia, and I'm back after my training."
"I am Helle Ann Bloodsmith. I am the daughter of Hale Bloodsmith."
It was my turn to introduce myself.
"Greetings. I am the Bluer from the city's temple. My family is the most powerful Bluer family of them all. My name is Zereth Arical Sapphire."
After he introduction, conversations spread along like butter.
"You're from the forest?" Rygus' eyes sparkled liked the stars, "What does it feel like to live out there? Do you dance around everyday? Do you use phone? Do you know how to hunt? Do you have to fish? Do you have to learn to climb trees when you were a baby?"
The questions were like bullets, penetrating Xarius' head as he tries to answer them.
"Yes, I'm from the forest. No, we do not dance around everyday. No, we do not use phones, except for me. I'm the only one in our tribe that connects with the outside world. Yes, I know how to hunt. Of course we have to fish. And no, we do not HAVE to learn how to climb a tree when we're a baby, even though most of us knows how to do it, it's not a required skill."
"Anyways," I stopped them from the continuation of the conversation, "where is your house, Rygus?"
"Oh, it's right over there. Come on, I'll show you, Mr. Blu - I mean Mr. Sapphire."
"Please, just call me Zereth."
Being called by first names means we're friends, right?
