I just convulsed. I already mentioned a favorite comic of mine. Well, THIS is exactly what happens. The "Evil" Emperor who believes he can groom any woman to become his trenchant little sword gets backstabbed in the end by his most magnificent creation (ok, backstabbed is a big word, but he does get humiliated and blind-sided)! And she had been planning it, playing him, and all those around him, from the first moment her filthy, rag-covered little foot stepped onto imperial ground. And here we have Kore, rather more a charged Glock than a sword, sniffing her surroundings out, building herself a faithful little army of weak-willed sycophants, ready to mindf*ck them into obedience. Will she overthrow Eugene's reign? He would love nothing but! He is all-powerful, all-knowing, he is perfection and perfection is boring to death, literally. Creating himself a nemesis to battle with until eternity does them apart?! After all, what builds love better than a constant presence that pushes itself into your life, than grudge of having one's body and mind manipulated (Kore doesn't seem to be the type to enjoy being played with, she obviously plays too much with others). Give us blood, give us tears, give us pain, give us LOVE! Kore's smirk and her determination of trampling them all underfoot has awoken the romance monster in me. The less it looks like romance the more I will enjoy it.
