In the majority of good MMORPG's there doesn't exist any such thing as a Guild Hall, yet in stuff like Log Horizon and .Hack, Guild Halls are everywhere. I guess it says something about what we want from MMO's, or perhaps it just says what Anime watchers want from them. Personally, I love Guild Halls.

I would adore a physical guild hall in any game, but it would be hard to make it feel alive, as not everyone is on all the time, and even then they may be off on some quest.
