Politics:

Several kingdoms are scattered all over Gaïa, and Eleonore kingdom is placed in the general centre. After an event called "The great war", all the kingdoms have signed a peace treaty to avoid any further massacre. While there are a few disputes of territories over the continent, It has been thousands of years since the last great war. The continent itself has the shape of a star, and each branch is owned by a race, faction or royal family. The kingdom of the Roseguard family in sitting in the middle of this sun, and act as a peacemonger amongst the factions. Thanks to their constant acts of peace and strategical political peace meetings (Balls, leaders debates, etc), the Roseguard's have managed to keep the entire continent at peace. Any faction declaring war on this country would effectively declare war on everyone, as they would be claiming the most crucial land in the path of world conquest. This thought alone is enough to calm the most ambitious or greedy ruler to simply declare war on Eleonore's country and is why most try to use more "peaceful" strategies to claim the so precious land. If the royal just happened to die out, one would need to replace it, and by not issuing a war, the leader would buy himself enough time to plan his next move.
