Language:
It is important to understand that every language in this universe corresponds to a real language in ours. for instance, Elvish is French and arcanic is latin. Common, on the other hand, is special as it is a magical language crafter to adapt to the receptor. Common is not English, it is whatever language you are reading the story. There is actually a language that represents English, and those who speak common will not understand it if they didn't learn that language.
Elf types:
In targeted princess exists 3 different types of elves:
- Wood elves, your most typical ones. Slender, often blond, blue eyes, nature lovers and very often good archers. They all Worship Gaïa, also names "Mother Earth" and symbolize every plant life on the planet of Gaïa. She spends most of her time in her home taking care of her followers in the tree of life.
- Drows (might change the name if it is licensed by Wizards of the coast) are dark-skinned elves with bleach white hair that often lives in the shadows of the woods. While living similar lives to their elves cousins, both of them are notorious for not liking each other very much. While elves make excellent rangers and druids, drow will more often follow the paths of rogues and thieves. They will, however, set aside their dispute and follow Gaïa's guidance to fight their common enemies: Blood elves.
- Considered as savages and monsters by the other two, blood elves are actually consisting of a mix of elves and drow. What differentiates them is also what gave them their nickname is the first place: They hunt animals and eat meat. Frown upon by both their family and their goddess, they decide to worship the god of decay and death instead. They live in the deadlands section of the forest branch and are at war with the other two. They use magic that can be best described as "Haloween magic". Their god takes care of them from his home the tree of death.
Life vs Decay:
Both Gaïa and the god of decay are in a constant war, both trying to capture each other. Each of them will send their army in the hope of sieging the other's home tree. Those wars always lead to a lot of summons casualties and summoners kidnappings. After being used for deviant fantasies, the captured are always released, according to the laws of war agreed by both gods. What both sides ignore is that both Gaïa and the god of decays are actually lovers. They live a very intense love-hate relationship where both want to be the dominant person of the relationship. To resolve this problem, whoever wins the war gets the other one as a prisoner and gets to mistreat them to their heart desire, leading to very sadistic and tied-up of plays. When one of them loose, they get more motivated to win the next war and it makes their victory even sweeter, resulting in intense revenge mating. Good thing this story has not fallen into the ears of their followers...
