You know what the funny thing is about all this? Despite all of the destruction that took place, the street lamps were still surprisingly intact. (I know, crazy right?) Now the only thing stranger is that I'm sixteen and I'm about to fight a thirty foot metal beast that's going club-happy right now.
I ran across the street, narrowly dodging a the arm of a Police Gunman that flew past me. (Talk about getting a hold on the situation :D.) I ran over the the street lamp right in front of where the cafe once stood. I crouch down behind it, wrapping the bungee cord around the midsection. I slipped the end hook through the hole in one of the pie tins and waited. It didn't take long for that Gozu thing to come running around the corner, swinging his club and bashing another Police Scout to the side.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see grandmother and the others creeping out of the department store and onto the street, making their way down the street. Sylvia just rolled her eyes at me as she conducted people out of the building. (Well excuse me bitch. I'm trying to do YOU a favor.)
"Hey! Tin Face!" I shouted. Gozu turned its massive head towards me. I couldn't keep myself from smiling. "Eat my Pie-apult ya limp noodle!" I pulled the cord back. The pie tin spun around the lamp once before flying off into the air, heading straight for that thing's face!
TUNK!
The pie tin struck the end of his snout and flew off to the side, Gozu standing there unaffected. An awkward silence blanketed over the battle ground.
YoudonefuckedupYoudonefuckedupYoudonefuckedupYoudonefuckedup! were the only four words that ran through my mind as Gozu started to laugh and emotionless laugh (Seriously, didn't this thing at least know how to smile?).
I started preparing the next pie tin, but I was throwing to the side by Gozu smacking its club against the ground next to me. I went flying back inside of the ditch, hitting my head agaist the burnt pavement once more. I tried to stand up, but I was sent downward again when Gozu decided that it would be best to join me. I fell againt my back as steam was released from Gozu's snout.
I start to crawl backwards, hoping that I would be able to escape. My heart was beating fast, my entire body pulsing as it raced inside of me. I could feel sweat coming down my forehead. My googles were foggy, my breath was short, and my mind was filled with fear. I..I didn't know what to do! My grandmother and the others are probably on their way home, and yet here I am, staring into the teeth of death's gate.
Gozu stepped towards me, the ground trembling greatly. He started to raise his club up again. My heart started beating faster than anything before! My vision may have been blurry (due to the fog in my goggles) but I knew that this was the end. I was going to die.
"You should have stayed underground where you belong!" Gozu shouted as he started bringing his club down. I wanted to close my eyes, but it felt as if my eyelids were glued open! I couldn't do anything but hold my breath, waiting for the worst.
That's when my miracle came to save me.
I watched in sudden disbelief as Gozu's club was sliced, yes sliced, in half by a giant metal sword. (I swear to God right now, I am not on drugs.) The bottom half slammed down jut in front of my feet, just mere inches from taking off my foot, while the top half went flying behind the building behind me. The sword landed to my left, the blade impaling the ground. I moved my goggles from over my eyes, letting them dangle around my neck. Gozu even looked shocked. I started to stand up, praying in my mind that there wasn't another one of these ram head things that came to kill me.
"And to think that I wouldn't ever get a chance to use this ever again!" I heard a voice call from above. I recongnized that voice from somewhere. It was strean and gravely, but reassuring. No...It can't be!
I looked to the right of me and followed my eyes up to the top of the pile of rubble from where the cafe once stood. I couldn't believe my eyes. Before me stood a tall silvery man. He had four arms and three swords, two on his back and one on his left side. He had sunken yellow eyes on his chest and a big gaping mouth that was forming a somewhat permanent smile. The head was faceless with a helmet that displayed a dark grey circular crest. It seemed to be wearing armor on his legs and around his waist. But the voice I heard sounded like-
"Inoichi," the voiced called again. It was coming from that metal man! "Are you okay?"
"Viral?!"
The metal man's head nodded. "I came as soon as I heard the Police Gunman. I can hear their cries all the way from the factory." I may not be able to see it, but I already new that Viral was smiling his shark tooth smile.
"But what the hell is that thing?!" I shouted back at him. "I thought you said I was helping you build a statue!"
"I said you were helping me repair a relic." He answered. The metal man jumped down, landing right behind me. The metal man folded his top two arms and put his other two on his waist. "And, thanks to you, I was able to make the ultimate version of Enkidudu. Inoichi, meet Enkigann!"
Enkigann kneeled down, holding out one of his arms. The mouth on his chest opened up a bit, showing Virla inside, sitting in a tan red chain and holding onto two retangular handles.
"Get in!" he ordered. I climbed into the hand. Enkigann started to stand up, lifting me up into the air. The hand made its way over to the mouth. Viral held out his hand. I grabbed onto it and he pulled me in. I landed next to him, almost falling back out. He scooted over a bit, wrapping his right arm around me and grabbing hold of the right rectangular handle. The mouth closed up and the inside glowed red. The hexagonal panels inside sprung to life, showing the outside world. We were face to...teeth with Gozu. It was awesome inside! I'm a bit of a nerd for these things, but this is just fascinating!
"You looked overwhelmed." Viral stated. I nodded, speechless. He smiled. "I'll explain everything later, but right now," he moved his hands back, causing Enkigann to draw out his sword. "We have a Gozu to kill."
