Four more months passed waiting for a reply and when I stopped expecting it, it finally came. The King of Terrencello demanded that I marry his son Merenceilor or he will take more of my kingdom, making it seem like he had already gained control over the towns where his troops were, even though I knew he didn't. I went down to the dungeon and greeted the prince.
"I am sure that you know why I am down here, Merenceilor." I said and the prince of Terrencello glared at me, "Your father wants us to marry." His glare softened, but was still there.
"And why should I believe you?" Merenceilor asked, "My father hates me." I smiled a sad smile.
"Prince Merenceilor," I said, "I am willing to marry you, but there are some guidelines I would like you to follow in order for it to happen." Merenceilor's gaze turned into a somewhat smile.
"What do I have to do?" Merenceilor asked.
"You will listen to what I have to say and let me rule with you, not just you." I said. Merenceilor glared at me again.
"I refuse." Merenceilor said harshly, "No woman is going to tell me what to do."
"This war needs to end." I stated simply, "I will win it with or without your help. If you don't marry me, you'll be dead within a few days. If you do, I assure you, you will live a very long life."
"I hate both these choices!" Merenceilor shouted in my face, "Can't I have another choice?!"
"No, I'll give you three days to make your decision, Merenceilor." I said, "You could either die or become a king. It is up to you." With that I left.
