Norwegian words of note:
guardian: fomynder
beskytter: guardian, patron, protector
wolf: ulv
guardian wolf: verge ulv
black grace*: svart nåde
*This is the actual English translation of svart nåde, at least according to the translation website I used. In the story Shadow translates it as 'black mercy' which is also technically correct because nåde can also mean mercy. However when I first looked up the phrase 'black mercy' on the website I was using it gave me svart barmhjertighet as the translation for it. When I saw that, my first thought was 'I can't use that, it's too long.' so I looked up the words separately and picked two that sounded good together used them instead.

Lots of things can be found in Marlene's sling at any given time but no matter what she thinks she might need when going out, she always carries a small travel size first aid kit and some duct tape.
................
*Fun Fact: Shadow smells like where he lives. For instance, back when Marlene first met him, he smelt of dust and limestone because he had made his home in the Paris catacombs. Later, when he took up residence in an abandoned tree house in the forest Marlene's house was in, he started to smell like old damp wood and green growing things.

Marlene: When I was six, I wanted a pony but my parents said no. Now, ten years later, I have a 20 hand tall demon horse that can turn into just about any little vroom-vroom car I want. Because of what he is, he can more or less take care of himself and is always comes when he's called. The only draw back is he likes to eat rotted dead things, the smeller the better. Whenever we pass a dead skunk, he wants to pull over so he can eat it.

I like Alva and Ylva for her mother's name and I might use Eira for her elder sister's name.
