“I’m sorry” his soft voice was heard again “I can’t have you running away from me forever.” This was bad! like really bad! The situation resembled one of the romantic stories she often read a bit too much. She murmured a silent apology as he sat down on the chair beside her. A long and awkward silence was finally broken when the blonde spoke again. “sorry I’m always a bit shy around new people” “then why would you approach me?” She finally spoke up but immediately regretted her decision. The first thing she said to him and it sounded really rude. Fearing the worst she pinned her eyes on him trying to detect a change in expression. To her surprise the only thing she saw was his smile slightly widening. It was a sincere kind smile which finally made her relax a bit. At the very least he didn’t hate her for the last comment. “I normally wouldn’t but someone constantly staring at you and running away if you dare look back doesn't happen every day.” This response only worsened the already red colour on her face. “why did it happen before?” She asked in an attempt to act less nervous. The response was a small laugh which made her heart beat twice as fast followed up by a "ah well sometimes" while pulling up his shoulders. Now it was her turn to laugh although it was nothing more than a giggle.
now that the atmosphere was a little less tense maybe she could find out if those rumours about a girlfriend where true. "so uh" she began. He turned his head slightly as she continued. "are you like waiting for someone?" As she said this she realised how direct it sounded. searching for a reaction she stared into the ice blue orbs of his. "nope." he simply answered. the simpleness of the answer left her a bit dumbfounded. she had to continue now however. "I was actually wondering if ..." She stopped. Was she really going to ask it? "yes?" the blonde asked as to let her continue. "Do you have a girlfriend?" A bit surprised by the subject he simply shook his head as to say no. The reaction on her face was a mix between surprise and relief. "Ah i see." she said her voice trembling slightly. why she got so nervous after receiving that answer was unknown to her. the boy was little more than a stranger to her. "To be honest I'm always a but oblivious to the hints girls are sending me." Surprisingly he was the one diverting his eyes now. This was an incredible opportunity for her she had to act now. "you know if you would like to ..." would she dare to finish that sentence? The blue eyes had found their way back to her as she said that. they were filled with excitement giving her the courage she needed. "Well we ..."
