I don't mind diversity as long as it doesn't disrupt already established lore, history and characters. If I wake up one morning and a character that has been a man for 50 years is now a woman I have a problem with it. If I wake up and a whole new character is introduced with their own backstory and personality then at that point I don't care make it as diverse as you want.
