Spring semester came and went as it does in Stranger Hall: strange sounds, creepy feelings, and awkward shadows had populated the rumor pool. Ask any long time resident- spring was the most active time. Nothing too memorable though, you see, after the fire alarm incident I kept my blessed cross necklace on me at all times. Things seemed to happen less often when I wore it.
I was home again for summer and things had been quiet, I stayed with my mom mostly and her new home was relatively normal. I thought I was good to take my safety off and wear something a little more fashionable. You know what they say about assuming...
So, here I was at midnight, in a nearly empty park, staring at figure in white near the edge of the woods, from the safety of the sandpit. My heart had dropped to my stomach and the beer in my hands shook as two black holes carved above her cheeks stared at me.
I could hear my friends calling me off in the distance, their voices came through the darkness like muffled screams under water.
Would I ever be free?
