When I first found my way to this group, Vrin was first to welcome me with open arms. He is like our mother and father in one. He grew up in a tribe in Alaska. He often mentioned his experienced his experiences with other tribes. The fights they would have. He also told me his job. He was the tribes shaman. Or witch doctor as some people call them.
He was the spiritual advisor and the healer of the tribe. I guess that's how he gained the power to heal people through touch. Some vampires gain abilities, it's very rare though.
I relaxed slightly when his hand touched my shoulder. "I... Told someone today."
"Do you think they will tell anyone? Why didn't you wipe their memory?" He asked with a worried expression on his face.
"Well..." I told him about the conversation I had with Sam. I could tell he knew something that I didn't.
"You need to go tonight! This is something that you won't witness everyday." He replied with excitement in his eyes.
"What do you mean? What is it?" I asked. I wasn't to know what I'm walking into.
"Would you mind if I come along?"
I shrugged. "It could help a lot to have someone I know with me... Should I be worried?"
He shook his head at me. "You will love this. Trust me."
Well I can't really argue with him since he does know a lot more than I do. He has traveled all over the world. Seen all sorts of things I can only imagine. I maybe 150 years old, but that doesn't mean I've traveled. Life gets pretty boring though, after a while. Maybe I just need something to change things up.
"Ok. I'll do it. I'll go." I said finally.
"Yay! I can't wait! It has been so long since I've talked to a-" He cut himself off and laughed nudging me in the shoulder. "Don't want to ruin the surprise."
I clenched my jaw. He can be such a pain sometimes. I pulled out my phone and checked the time. I sighed. "Want to get something to eat?"
"Sure. We just got fresh bags from the hospital." He towed me off to the kitchen.
