As the king sent us away six well-dressed guards wearing a gaudy military attire came to pick us up. They would look decent in their red and gold uniform but it was destroyed by the feathers that extended from their shoulders and berets.
A trumpet was played by one of the guys that stood in front of our group as the King's audience sent us off with an applause while singing a type of anthem following the flow of the instruments that now included drums.
We headed out from the other side of the room which led to a garden which most of the girls reacted to as it was a spectacle to see. I couldn’t blame them as the scenery was full of vibrant and colorful flowers.
A sweet and pleasant aroma filled the air entering my nostrils as I took in deep breaths. I was close to enjoying the soothing sounds of water from the fountains and the birds nearby which had replaced the sounds of the instruments that were put on hold, the reason was the awakening of “that one”.
Standing a few feet before me was a guy who is known for wearing colorful cardigans with tight pants, he had an androgynous face with dark brown curly hair with highlights. He could have been popular with the girls but he was one of those types.
“My, what wonderful display of artistical talent I must say. I have to meet the gardener at all costs.” Reactivated by the view before him, Darin, one of the classes oddities said out loud while observing the flowers.
I recovered my stoic and uninterested expression as I walked forward trying not to be noticed.
“What a magnificent view, wouldn’t you agree with me, Kai?” Turning to face me I flinched as I thought I could pass by undetected.
“Uh, I guess...” Shrugging my shoulders I kept moving forward hoping he would take more interest in the flowers than me, sadly as we were in a line and the others were starting to be placed in carriages which were near the exit of the garden I couldn’t escape.
“What a horrible situation we have here, I studied endlessly for that math test we were going to have today and now this happens, I guess it’s all going to waste.” Crossing his arms while next to me in line he begins his rambling.
“Same…” Putting a bit of annoyance in my voice I knew it was a futile effort.
This guy, he is the type I am the most weak against. Unable to read the mood he could keep chattering on for hours but ultimately the fault lies within me. Although I distance myself from others and place a barrier around me with an air of hostility, I usually don’t go on the offensive meaning I don’t have it in me to tell him to shut up.
Luckily the lines moving fast as each horse pulled carriage has five people being placed in them. There the type with doesn't have a hood over them so people can see the ones riding within them, most likely to have us shown to the general public.
The only ones left were a group of two guys and three girls, the teacher and the princess who were on the side keeping order and Darin who was still observing the garden behind me with great fascination.
I was a bit worried that I was going to be stuck with this guy alone on a carriage but it seems there was still hope of the teacher staying with us, not that I care for others preferences, but for me who likes his space hopefully he could have a nice conversation with the teacher while leaving me in peace.
“I didn’t get my beanie back…” Muttering to myself the teacher called me forth to sit in the luxurious looking carriage, but of course, I couldn’t accept the proposal as I had my own set of rules that I abide by.
“You’re forgetting I’m a guy it seems, ladies first.” Maybe because she changed the suit she wore this morning in class to a dress the maids forced upon her so I just couldn’t resist treating her somewhat informal.
“Oh, that’s very generous of you Mr. Kai, just remember that I am still your teacher. But, alright I will accept your offer, also we will be sitting with the princess.” Looking at me with flare in her eyes while saying that she extended her hand to which I grasped to help her up.
In front of the carriage, the princess was talking as if giving directions to one of the soldiers in formal military attire, besides him was twelve others riding on top of white horses waiting for us to start moving. She hurried back and I also helped her board the carriage which had Darin seated in front of the teacher.
I thought I was going to be the last to board but a young girl around my age got on after me and sat near the princess. She was in a different maid outfit compared to those that helped us this morning, as it had a shorter skirt and fewer frills. She also had a sword on her waist which she put aside while she was seated.
Noticing my evaluation she gave a weary smile which looked somewhat forced as she looked to be one of those serious types and quickly turned away towards the castle.
What a rare view, to be placed in front of three different kinds of beauties. To the far left we have the teacher a beauty in the prime of her life, black hair a face that could compete with most models and a dress that suits her perfectly yet causes her to be shy.
In the middle seat, the princess of this country someone brimming with confidence and has been sociable from the start. Although I am very distrustful towards the king, his daughter seems to either be the best actor in this castle or someone very innocent.
Finally the attendant, a stoic beauty with light pastel green hair which caught my attention as it was not dyed but natural since her eyes were of an emerald green. Her pale skin was a bit worrisome but a few moments ago the blush she had while facing me with a forced smile proved that she was as healthy as anyone present.
Sadly the annoyance besides me kept going on about the types of flowers and how they differ from those on Earth.
