Yama finds his current lifestyle to be tedious, fetching souls for Izanami and continuously giving half of his life-span for her - all while she promises him a throne next to her as her next king of the Underworld. Things begin to change for Yama when he meets a human girl named Kanika, who shows him life isn't all about power and his hatred for humans.
