There was a faint sound. It was a small beeping ,it kept going and going. Beep beep beep! It seemed like it was getting louder. It’s dark why couldn’t she see. The beeping got louder. “What was it?” she wondered. Just then something heavy dropped on her chest. Kanami awoke suddenly, to find her solid black cat Momochi was on her chest playfully batting at her long brown hair. Kanami then realized the beeping noise she had been hearing was her alarm clock blaring at her. “Oh no!” She said looking at her clock. She had over slept. “It’s 7:45 already I’m so late. I’ll never make it on time now.” She sighed and jumped out of bed. She hurried around found her black and purple school dress. She threw on her long dark red cape and her solid black boots. Kanami quickly waved at momochi and blew him a kiss. He stretched out in the morning sun that was pouring through the open bedroom window. He flicked his tail in her general direction, he was not pleased she left him all the time to go to this school place. He would never tell her that tho.

“Good bye Momochi , be good and keep watch of the shop while I’m gone!” She yelled as she grabbed her broom from the closet. She stared at the broom briefly. It was getting rather small for her now she has had it since her eighth birthday. She was turning 15. “Maybe I’ll get a new for myself on my birthday next week.” She mumbled to her self before hopping on and carefully flying through the open window.

Momochi watched her leave then leapt down off the bed and making his way down to the shop below the bedroom. Momochi hated all the stairs almost as much as he hated this school thing. The stone stairs rubbed on his belly as he went down. It made his black fur all dirty with dust and dirt. He would have to clean off his self as soon as he got to the bottom.
