The voice of reason, who guides me when I'm blinded by my muddled thoughts; the one who stays by me when I'm ready to give in.
My imaginary friend, the one I was sure I outgrew some time ago; the one part of the innocent me that remained for this long.
My thoughts, the one that grows dark with every negative feeling that comes in; despite that, it still stays close to me everywhere I go.
No matter what it's called, it is there to protect me, comfort me, and act as a my friend. It's strange how I can trust something only I can see, but...
With it, I'm not afraid of being alone.

This was based on a conversation I had a few days ago with a couple of friends of mine. They referred to something called The Voice of Reason (TVOR), a voice in one's mind that helps them when they require it. It was pretty nice to talk about how everyone's TVOR varied, from personality to how they look to the person themselves.
