Nov 08, 2017

After finally returning to her own home she found her mother already impatiently waiting for her. "How was it?" The older lady asked with a wide grin on her face. The question was rather unnecessary however. Anyone could see that the girl was just shining from happiness. "Mooooom!" She simply shouted in response followed by a quiet "it was fun." The rest of the evening consisted of the young girl telling about everything that had happened in the last few hours. Emily's mother simply listened to her daughter ranting on about this amazing blonde guy. Never had she seen her cheeks light up so bright while talking about a boy and seeing her like that was wonderful. After another half hour of non-stop going on about her crush Emily finally had decided to go upstairs and try to get some rest. She didn't waste any time directly laying down on the unmade bed. But, what now? Sleep? That really wasn't one of her options right now. Talking to her mother had calmed down her mind a bit however it was still running wild making it unable for her to sleep. Trying to find something to distract her she looked around the dark room her eyes stopping at her pc. No! That wouldn't help at all now if anything it would make everything even worse. Realising that only one thing would calm her down right now she reached for a guitar placed next to her bed. Gently her fingers started tugging the strings creating various beautiful sounds that filled the small dark room. For as long as she could remember music had always been able to calm her mind just like it did right now. After calming down it didn't take long before the exhaustion of that day washed over her and the now heavy eyelids closed shut.

The absolute darkness in her room was disturbed when the door slowly opened allowing her mother to check in on the insides. There she found her daughter sitting against the wall on top of her bed. Her hands still firmly holding her guitar. Her head was resting on top of her shoulder making some of the strands of red hide her face from the world. The serenity was only disturbed by the loud snoring which was produced by no one less than the girl herself. The view brought a smile to the mother's lips and made her praise the lord she had soundproofed this chamber.
