Liam was in the elevator, he didn't feel like going back to his room after hearing what Leo had done. To think that Allen actually wanted to be friends with him and that he had now destroyed that chance. He had to distract his thoughts or else, it would just be too frustrating. The elevator stopped at the third floor and he went to the living room.
It didn't seem to be anyone there, and took a seat on the sofa. He looked up to the high ceiling and sighed, had he hoped that someone would be here...? he looked to the left and saw the door that was leading to the balcony. It was half open, he stood up and walked curiously out the balcony. He realised that he had never seen the view from this place.
The balcony was big and wide, he could see houses on the horizon, they looked so small and far away from here. This place felt separated from the city like it was detached from one another. Liam looked up at the sky, it seemed like a sunny nice day, the sky was beautifully blue. the dazzling blue sky reminded Liam of Allens eyes, Liam sighed.
- Hey, there....
- WHAAA!
Liam turned around and saw Ken standing by the railing.
- Hahaha... sorry, didn't mean to scare you...
- It's okay... I got a bit too distracted by the sky...
- True, it's a great weather today
- Yeah....
- Ah! your voice came back, how nice
- Yeah, it came back just recently, so my throat feels a bit sore, but it's good to have it back...
- Yeah, I can imagine it, and you must probably miss your home as well... waking up in a strange place, and not be able to ask any questions... must have been hard on you...
- Actually, I can't seem to recall my life before I came to this place...
Ken turned to Liam.
- That's strange... it happens to some people... but they only forget a small part of it... how unlucky...
Newbie shook his head.
- I don't think so...
- ... And why is that?
Newbie looked at Ken
- If I had remembered I would probably miss them or worse, what if it's only painful memories with only scars...?
It got quiet for a while, and looked at the sky.
- Hey, let's go eat lunch, aren't you hungry, the clock is over 12
- Yeah, sure
They went inside and walked from the living room to the kitchen. Lilly was the only one in the kitchen, she had already begun eating lunch.
- Finally! I thought I would be eating alone...
They walked up to her and was preparing their lunch.
- So Leo and Ian haven't come yet?
- Like I care...
- ... What about Conny?
- Hmf! He had some work to do, so he said he would eat lunch later...
They took a seat and started to eat.
- I see... where's Allen?
- Training...
- He's... still?
- He eats when he wants to...
Liam looked down, the thoughts he had wanted to forget was coming back to him. He started to feel a bit guilty, the food had lost some of its taste. He didn't feel like eating anymore, but forced himself, anyway.
- Did you have a fight with Allen?
Liam looked surprised up at Lilly that was still chewed food in her mouth.
- I thought it would have been fine to leave you with him... sorry...
- Ah, don't be sorry... Um... but what made you think like that...?
- ... He seemed that he had a positive interest in you... so, I definitely thought he would behave!
Ken was enjoying his food and kept on eating, Lilly seemed like she was annoyed, she had started to play with her food.
- I will talk to him...
- Ah! no... it was my fault that he became so angry...
- But he always tends to overreact, and that is not okay!
- Yeah... but I started it by saying some mean things without thinking properly... So, I think... I should be the first one to apologize...
- If that's what you believe, then fine...
Lilly patted Liam on the head
- By the way, can you inform him not to be late for dinner, and the same goes to you
- Sure...
- Good!

Liam had gone to the top floor were the training hall was. It was much bigger than what he was anticipating. It was a high ceiling, and to the right was it windows covering the whole wall. The treadmills were lined up facing the window to the left, the other training equipments were nicely put to the right.
The sound of someone hitting a sack was filling up the whole room, Liam walk to where the sound came from. Allen was moving fast and smoothly, like the air, he had all his focus on the sack, as he punched with full force on it. Liam felt a bit scared and nervous, but he had to tell Allen!
- Hey.... Al...
He stops punching and was taking his boxing gloves off as he walked to the water bottles, that was on the table against the wall. He didn't pay attention to Liam, and started to drink. Liam knew that Allen wouldn't forgive him that easily, but to not hear him out was just too much, he walked to Allen.
- ... Allen...
Allen turned around and walked towards Liam, Liam held his breath as Allen was getting closer. Allen nonchalantly walked past Liam, and even though Allen was just passing by was it like a wolf had walked past him. Liam turned around, and saw that he had gone towards the treadmills and was now running. Liam was getting annoyed by his behavior. He walked up to Allen, he was standing close to the left side of the machine.
- Don't ignore me...
Allen was looking forward as he was running, and he was still ignoring him.
- Please let me explain...!
Allen was starting to wrinkle with his eyebrows, it was finally getting through to him and he was starting to get irritated.
- There's nothing to explain, so leave already...!
- Not until you hear me out properly!
Allen stopped running and turned towards Liam.
- So you want me to listen...?
Liam nodded as an answer, Allen stops running, it got quiet for a bit and then Allen started to grin and said.
- Fine, but in one condition...
Liam felt a bit relieved that he was finally getting this chance.
- Okay...?
- You will let me beat you up, until I get satisfied
Liam got surprised, was he serious, he remembered Allens punches from earlier, how he easily made that sack fly. Liam was starting to shake as the fear was crawling up, Allen leaned closer to Liam.
- I knew you would be scared
Allen turned around and was on his way to the elevator.
- Fine...!
Liam had realised that he was shaking, but he was also becoming angry by how Allen treated him, he didn't want to let Allen win this time. Allen turned around and looked at Liam.
- What did you say...?
- I will let you... beat me up
Liam swallowed, and his heart was beating fast. Allen walked back to Liam, he seemed amused by Liams attempt of being brave.
- You are really crazy... or, don't tell me, are a masochist?
Liam took a few steps closer to Allen.
- Are you gonna hit me or not...
Liam clenched his teeth hard, Allens smirk had disappeared, that comment had hit him hard, Allen was now looking serious and his eyes had become as cold as ice.
Allens fist hit Liam on the side of his face, Liam didn't have a second to react before he was lying on the floor. The ceiling was spinning, and the taste of metal was filling his mouth, his eye was teary from the side Allen had hit him.
- What the hell, I only used like 20% of my strength...... get up.
Liam stood up, he was still feeling dizzy from the first punch, Allen walks up to him to give the second punch. With no hesitation, Allen hit Liam on his stomach, Liam falls down on his knees and started to throw up.
- Haha, so you just had lunch, didn't mean to make you throw that up.
Liam can't move his body was feeling heavy, he's looking down at the floor, the pain was overwhelming but he couldn't help but to feel bad. Allen grabs his hair and pull his head upwards to punch him again. He's crying, the tears were pouring down on his cheeks.
- I'm sorry... I didn't mean to... hurt you...hn... sorry...
Allen hesitated by Liams sudden apology, he felt Liams weight on him. The punches had been too much for Liam and he had finally fainted. This wasn't something Allen had expected.
- What the heck...
.
.
He wakes up in a dark place.
- So you finally wake up
- Allen...
- No, it's Mena...
- What... but I'm not in the coffin, am I?
- No, but you summoned me...
- I did?
- Of course, I never appear on my own for no reason, so it has to be you... Last time someone did that, was Allen, he wouldn't stop coming here to this place where he could talk and be with the one he cares the most.
Liam felt obnoxious about what he just had said.
- ... Well, sorry... I really don't know the reason I summoned you...
- It's okay, I was bored and besides... This is interesting... it's the first time someone have succeeded to summon me at the same day they get their ability...
- Is that so...
- Yeah, and also, you're the only one that doesn't see me as someone from the past... the one you see is Allen...
He ignored the last part
- Well, it's because I can't recall my past
Mena started to laugh
- Why are you laughing?
- Hahaha, sorry... I guess Conny didn't explain to you properly, this place isn't what you remember, or have forgotten, it's the place you have the strongest feeling towards, that staid in your heart.
- ... Can I ask you... who Allen special person is?
Mena looked down at Liam that was sitting on the ground.
Hm... I don't see a reason to not tell you, it's his older sister... Elaine
His sister...?
Yes, unfortunately, she died around a year ago and that hit Allen pretty hard. He would come here often to meet me just to see her... but recently he stopped coming.
Liam hadn't expected this... was he allowed to know something so personal... and how would he face him... Mena looked dazed at Liam.
- You seem to care about him more than yourself...
Before Liam looked up had Mena already crouched down.
- Be careful, or it will destroy you..
Mena was starting to fade away, Liam was getting tired, he was slowly losing his consciousness.
.
.
He opens his eyes, he was lying on his bed, the throbbing feeling on his cheek were getting stronger as his consciousness was getting back. He started to remember what had happened.
- So you finally awake, huh?
Allen was sitting on his bed, he stood up and walked up to the bed where Liam were lying.
- What happened...?
Liam didn't know what to say, he was just feeling confused. Liam sat up and Allen took a seat on the bed with his back towards Liam.
- After getting hit by me twice, you fainted and I carried you here... I even took care of your wounds.
It got quiet, then Allen sighted.
- You are really weak! I didn't hit you that hard, you...
- I really hate you...
- Wha...!?
- You're always mean to me, you're rude and I really can't understand you!!..... and even after letting you hit me and desperately trying to be forgiven by you... you start to complain... so why even though I hate you... why can't I help but to feel this sad... and worried about you... I must be an idiot... no... I'm crazy...
Liam had curled up to hide his tears, he was feeling so frustrated, why was he feeling this confused? Allen had finally turned around to look at Liam. He didn't know what to do or say, but he had to do something. He grabbed Liams face and pulled it up, Liam tried to resist, but failed, he was feeling ashamed, he didn't want Allen to see his tears, Liam shut his eyes tight.
- I will only tell you this once, so listen carefully...
Liam opens his eyes and see Allen looking nervous, he wasn't looking directly at at Liam, but Liam was looking into his eyes. Liam was lost in Allens eyes, they were shimmering like diamonds, those ice cold eyes from before had melted and was now like the warm sea.
- I'm sorry...
It got quiet, Liam couldn't believe what Allen had said. Allen finally looked Liam in the eye, his eyes had become much softer than before and for the first time Allen was gently smiling at Liam and seemed a bit relived.
- You finally stopped crying...
Liam had calmed down without realising it, the time felt like it had stoped, Allen stood up.
- Let's go and eat dinner...
