Yesterday was the holiday of Samhain, pronounced sow-wen/win (shits in gaelic) where the vale to the otherworld is thin, allowing us contact with deceased ancestors. It's pretty much like De Los Muertos (Mexican Day of The Dead) but not as colorful and a little less festive. On this day we erect altars to honor our ancestors, putting down offerings they may like, and this was my offering for my grandma Lin this year. She always smelled like roses because of her rose bead bracelets she made, the flower was her favorite. Her hair was mad fluffy tho lmao according to my ma this is depressing but oh well gran would prolly tell her to stfu anyways.
