Cuphead: Don't Deal with the Devil

Cuphead: Don't Deal with the Devil

Gee whiz, fellas – yer in for a treat. Cuphead brings the whacks and wallops, the dodges and derring-do, the jim-jam cat’s pajamas(?) in a tightly-wound, excellent local multiplayer that will have you on the edge of your seat for hours on end.

–Verdict–

Art: It was ridiculously difficult to pick one scene to draw on the whiteboard due to how gorgeous this game is – the hand-drawn graphics combined with the absolutely fantastic soundtrack makes for an all-round excellent visual and aural experience.

Gameplay: Strap on your big-boy pants and get ready to die a countless number of times, because Cuphead is as unforgiving as it is beautiful. Run and gun Contra-style, dodge everything in bullet-hell gameplay, or fight unique bosses in its bread-and-butter battle royales. Three hits and you’re dead, so hunker down with a friend and keep hitting that “replay” button until you see that sweet sweet knockout.

Replayability: High. The game is hard by yourself, but when a friend is involved the amount of stuff on screen increases by practically twenty-fold. I can see myself grabbing an innocent civilian and amounting them to practically torturous rounds of constant death just so I can master the skillfully drawn attack combinations.

Would I recommend? Yessir. As a completionist, this game is as infuriating as it is addicting. If you’re ok with a game that is purposefully – and ridiculously – difficult, like tight controls and excellent art, then slap down the 20 bucks it costs to get this game. It’s definitely worth it.

I don't know if you've heard of it, but there's this reeeeaaaallly old computer game that I used to play when I was little. pretty sure it's called something like, Dinosaur Adventure 3D, and it's such a great game! I learned about diamonds at age 5 and a whole bunch of other stuff. idk, I think you'd like it. it's super old, but really cute! ^^

I play a video game, draw a picture of it on my whiteboard and then write a review on it.

I'm always open to suggestions - message me if you have any games you'd like me to play!
